What places do you look for house rentals. I live in vegas and have to move. Not finding much.

newspapers
drive around the area you're interested in and look for "for rent" signs
look at websites for local realtys, some of them handle rentals as well

Craigslist and realtors. The seller will pay the realtor's fee so you don't have to worry about the money.

Craigslist. We own a bunch of rental property and we never advertise our houses in anything else. No one does the newspapers anymore (one of the reasons they are failing). Craigslist.

Wherever you get the information, always verify that the names in the county tax system match the name of the person renting. There have been scams here where people rent forclosed homes that they do not own. Harder to figure out are the people who know they will go into foreclosure (likely they are moving away from the city) and will rent to unaware tennants for those last few months before it goes to the bank.

Try hotpads.com. We just moved from Indiana to Florida and found a bunch of rentals there.
