need ideas for my DHS day- kids are 2 and 5. Need to make a TS meal that day- would like to do dinner since my other TS meals on my trip are for lunch.

that said- i am not really interested in the restaurants at DHS.
We are staying at POR and may leave the park in the afternoon so we could eat elsewhere and then return.

Is there a good TS dinner you can rec at a nearby resort? we dont have parkhoppers and would like the transport between the to locations to be easy

thanks

We love the 50's Primetime Cafe. It's lots of fun and the food has always been great. The pot roast, in particular, is fantastic.

honestly, i am really hesitating on this one. the food does sound fine but the whole thing sounds to gimmicky. We are not into the role playing and we would be really irritated if the CM tried to get us to play along.

how is mama melrose?

If you don't want to play along then don't go to the Primetime. That's the charm of the place.

We've enjoyed Mama Melrose's. It's basic Italian food but it was tasty!

I say PrimeTime. CM's there are good at reading body language of those who are not in the mood to play around. Also you can always tell the CM when checking in that you prefer to be left alone as to playing around, they will relay that message to your scheduled server. The food at this place is really good which is why it's one of my favorite TS restaurants at Disney World.

we, 4 adults, have dined several times at 50's Prime Time and never have made to feel like we have to play along. actually, we do enjoy "watching" not participating. with your age children it would be fun. but wanting to leave the park the boardwalk is just a boat ride away. we like big river grille. no ADRs taken. there is also beaches n cream at the beach club. these are not not fancy. good luck!:yay:

If you aren't on the dining plan head over to the Swan (boat to/from the studios ) and eat at IL Mulino. Great for the whole family.
