Where to go for special occasion meal?

We will be in Disneyland on my birthday and I wanted to go to a special meal (not particular about which meal it is). We have done Blue Bayou before. Is there anywhere else that might have a neat atmosphere for a birthday?

Our favorite place is Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in DTD. You can sit outside (either upstairs or down) and people watch while you eat! The atmosphere is great and so is the food!! Have fun celebrating in DL!!!

Carthay Circle in California Adventure is really amazing and has some great throw-back pictures of Walt Disney. We've also had Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel and we've considered it one of the best steak/prime rib places ever. Also filled with great images of Mr. Disney with old time friends.

I second Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. It's the most fun and a great place to celebrate. Afterwards, go to Trader Sam's for some drinks.

Ralf Brennan's is great - we often sit inside (A/C) and a piano player starts at 6 which is fun to listen to. I love Carthay Circle too - do a World of Color package if you want to see WOC as CC has a great reserved section. I was pretty disappointed with Steakhouse 55 - it is fancy but the food wasn't that great - at least the night we went (we ordered the filet mignon) the food was equivalent to Outback (which is good -but Steakhouse is 2-3x more expensive). I've heard Napa Rose is a great place to celebrate something if you don't have kids as it's probably the fanciest place on property.

We just had lunch at Carthay circle and we were really impressed. The food was good but the service was amazing. Really cool atmosphere too.

All the above suggestions are good. It really comes down to what sort of food you like. Make sure to note on your reservation that you'll be celebrating your birthday and confirm this with your server, too. Have a wonderful time!
