Where to go for Fantasmic Dinner Package?

Hello all!
I am going to be on the dining plan in September and want to do the Fantasmic dinner package. The issue is I am debating on whether to use 2 credits on one person and the other OOP to do Brown Derby or to go to Mamma Melrose's where we both can eat free. Which would you choose? Which one is better? Is BD worth that extra credit?

I voted to skip the package. I would have dinner at Chefs de France or one of the WS restaurants and then head over to the Fantasmic show getting there about an hour ahead of show time. You'll most likely be able to get better seats that way.

We always do Mama Melrose's. The penne vodka is out of this world!

We get to Fantasmic about half an hour early (this is in the middle of the summer) and have always sat in the very first row. Can't be beat!

why not H&V?! imo it's one of the best buffets on property

I decided to skip H & V because we're already doing 3 buffets and I wanted to maximize the dining plan's worth. I have also heard horrible reviews of it, but if you say its the best, then I may have to try it next year though!

I have never done the FDP before and I have never had a problem with seating!...I personally would not dot he FDP!

I had a little trouble with seating last year ( but I went during MG EMH) when I did F! so I wanted to see the contrast, but I am also concerned whether the BD or MM will be "worth it" in comparison to other places. Please send me your thoughts! Thanks so much!

We've tried all and found we prefer Hollywood and Vine for the Fantasmic Pkg.

We really enjoyed Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic Package. We ate at the Brown Derby during the same trip and had awful service and food was 'okay'. Was not worth 2 TS's.

I would opt not to do the package with Brown Derby because if you do and then Fantasmic is rained out you've possibly wasted 2TS credits. I've had one good dining experience and one so-so experience there (slllloooooowwww service) but probably won't go back.

We did the package last year at Mama Melrose's (you have a limited menu to choose from with the Fantasmic package) and our Fantasmic was rained out.

I say, opt for no Fantasmic package and just get there early for good seats (as if there are any bad seats in that theater!)
