hi:D
i am leaving soon for my first solo trip:D since i have always travelled with family before we have always taken our own photos. i would like to have a couple photos to take back to my family of me with at least a couple of the characters. i know you can pose and pay for these pictures but am not sure where. does any one have a suggestion of a couple good places to do this? i will be in all 4 parks during my stay.
thank you:D

I know the characters have 'handlers' the regular people that walk around with them, they are always willing to take a photo for you with your own camera.
As for the Disney photographers, sometimes we see them with the characters (usually in toon town) and sometimes we don't.

I would suggest having your own camera for the CM to use for you.

Enjoy your trip ;)

We had a picture taken with Aladdin in Morocco in Epcot. You have to go almost to the back of Morocco to find the room where they take his picture. Also, the bus with Minnie and Mickey had a professional photographer, also in Epcot. I believe, in AK there were also a few photograpers with the characters in Camp Minnie-Mickey.

A few days ago I was reading someone's trip report and they had mentioned seeing professional photographers with some characters in MGM Studios. The characters include, Lilo & Stitch; Buzz & Woody; and Mike & Sully. (Right there is 3 photos :)) You have the option of purchasing the photo, I believe a 5x7 is $12.99. (Not sure how much the 8x10 costs. Probably around $16.)

Hope this helps,

There are always Disney photographers near the entrances of each park--in front of the castle, tree of life, etc.:D

katypop -

Why not pick your favorite character meal. The waitstaff will be happy to take photos for you.

Have fun!

thank you everyone:D :D it sounds like there are quite a few places that i could choose from. i will have to keep my eyes open as i tour around :D i know from previous trips that sometimes the cm with the characters will take a picture for you, we had some taken of dd and i together last year, but i'm not sure if i would feel silly as a solo adult standing in line for a picture with the characters LOL:rolleyes: i do have a couple character meals planned InstImpres, and hope someone will offer to take a pic or two but will probably be too embaressed to ask:o

At Downtown Disney, there is a professional-type Photographer who will take your picture with Mickey in front of a Castle backdrop. I'm not sure of the name of the store - but it's right next to the ESPN store & the airbrushing store. I'm also not sure about price - I would imagine it's a little bit more, but it may be worth it if you don't want to ask any strangers for Pics! (My DW Hates it when I ask strangers to take our pics!)

thanks for the tip IndyJammer. i plan to be at dd a couple of times. i hadn't even considered you might be able to have pictures done there.i will have to check out the prices while i'm there.
thanks again:D

The place in DTD is called studio M but I heard it may be closed. We always went there it was 19.99 for a package now we go to MGM to the Mickey place near Millionaire. It is a cool dark theater- and there is a proffesional photographer they give you a ticket and you go to a store near the enterance about an hour later- they are 12.99 most characters have photographers we have lots of these pictures and no one will care if you are alone or with kids get in line you'll be happy you did - its Disney after all- have a magical trip!
PS those pics come out much better because no one is in the background!

thanks MinniMama for the info:D looks like you'll be in disney a day ahead of me:D :D :D have a wonderful trip:D :D
