I am 21 days away from being able to make my ADRs, so trying to decide where to go for the 1st night. We are staying at the BC and planning a pool day for our first day, we arrive at 11:30 am so we want to do an early dinner, we'll be my, DH, DD 17mos, DS 17mos. My initial thoughts are:
Chef Mickey's
Cape May
Beaches n Cream

Any thoughts or other suggestions?

we are starting our trip with Chef Mickey's. We have ressies at 7:40 so we can eat and then will go to MK for fireworks and parade. DH might go back to the room but I know that the boys want to stay for EMH that night.

Cape May Cafe Clam Bake is excellent. It is a must do for us everytime. We stayed at the BC last year and went there twice. We actually cancelled Chef Mickeys to go to Cape May again.

They have a great buffet with all you can eat clams and mussels and a lot of other stuff. Best of all, it's right at your resort so you don't have to travel anywhere.

You can check out the menu here http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_cmc.htm

Haven't been with kids but I think a character meal on the first night would be a nice way to start the trip and get the kids used to the sight of giant animals running around the place. And then you could just go for a ride on the monorail - I like to ride the monorail around the first day I get there, too, even if I don't go to a park. Just nice to enjoy being back at the world. But Cape May would be convenient, too, especially with 2 little ones...

I vote for Chef Mickey's!

We're dining their twice this trip once for dinner then again on our last day for a goodbye breakfast. We like to begin and end our trip with character meals.

We'll be arriving in WDW around 10am. We plan to relax by the pool then head to Crystal Palace for dinner. My DS1 is a huge "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" fan.

I'd say to do the Cape May breakfast. Goofy is hysterical! We've had such fun there. He's sat and colored with my DS4 for 15 mins once - the restaurant was not crowded!

I am staying at the BCv and on our arrival/pool day we are going to try the Cape May Clam Bake.I figure its right in the hotel, and I can just chill out and relax.

When we stay at the BC, we like to have a pool day our day of arrival too. Then we take showers and stay close to "home" for dinner. I like the idea of Cape May or Beaches & Cream. We also love going to Spoodles on the boardwalk. Or sometimes we take a stroll into Epcot countries and have some italian or chinese. Anything easy for the first night is what we do, meaning a place we can walk to!
