My family is going to DL for Thanksgiving. We have AP's, but my Mother in law is joining us for a fabulous 3 day trip. Where can I direct her to get the best deal for a 3 day ticket?
thanks everyone, your the best!
Lori

I don't know if this is THE absolute cheapest rate, but when you order the e-tickets online from the DLR website, the 3-day Hopper price is cheaper than if you bought it at the gate, by quite a bit. We just did this at the beginning of October for one of my friends. This will only last until January, and then the online rates go back to where the gate prices are. So if you print the ticket at home and then hand it over at the turnstile in exchange for a 'real' ticket, you will save quite a bit of money.

Unless I am missing something, DLR charges $169 for their 3-day Hoppers if you print them at home (until January 2009). Ares is charging $174 for their 3-day Hoppers until January 2009. You have to scroll down quite a ways to see that price on their site. The rates beginning next year are cheaper for a 3-Day with Ares, I think. Again, I could have missed something because I didn't look at the whole Ares DLR ticket section but it appears that DLR is cheaper in 2008 in this case??

Right now AAA has 3-days for the price of 2. They are $143. I'm not sure if they can be purchased online but I do know they have them at the TA's office. They expire 12/31/08 and include FREE parking and one MM

I did not do the check you did but every time I have in the past the Ares tix were cheaper. If the DLR tix are cheaper right now then that sounds like the way to go unless AAA or something else pops up.

You may be using an old link for Disneyland's tickets. Here is the current pricing of $179 for 2008:

We just went through this pricing thing ourselves. The AAA offer that is 3 days for 2 is only good in CA. We bought ours through GAT - they still had the $169 3 day hoppers, but there was a $10 fee (not per ticket, but per order) so it saved just a bit over buying 0n-line through Disney.

We just used it a few weeks ago (in October) and paid $169 for 3 day Hopper printed at home, and no fee of any kind added to that, and those prices were effective until January. Hmmm...maybe it is a SoCal discount only?? I will go on and see if I come up with the same rate.

ColoradoMom - you are absolutely right about the $179 price now. I just checked. But they must have JUST changed it. Because I looked on the DLR site even after we got back form our early October trip, comtemplating whether or not to get another ticket right now for the upcoming December trip and the price for a 3-Day Hopper was still $169. And that rate was supposedly lasting until early January 2009. So this means DLR has JUST changed it and increased the price by $10 in time for the peak season! Still, they don't charge any fees of any kind, so $179 is $179 and it has a MM with it, I believe. Ordering from another site may incur fees which then could bring the total to over $179. So it seems worth it to just order from DLR unless the total price you pay with fees and all from AAA or Ares comes to under $179.

I have been trying to figure all this out myself, trying to be cheap:goodvibes
So far this is what I have figured out....(this is based on 3 day Disneyland hopper for 4 adults)

Ares Travel: $696 + $4 eticket fee= $700

Get Away Today: $676 + $10 eticket fee= $686 (and you get 2 EE)

Disney.com: $716 (no eticket fee)

AAA: $680.20 (not sure if any fees, I am not a member so this was all the info I could get)

Tix2fun: $668 + $20.04 (eticket fee)= $688.04

Really it frustrates me that eticket fees are beyond $5 anywhere!
I am in Oregon so So.Cal residents will be able to find better deals;)

What about 4 day PH's?? My mom & Gma will need hoppers for our trip in Dec. (tomorrow I can say next month!!)

I think I may direct her to DL website. She is in WA and that may be the best find for her...

Wow I'm glad we bought our tickets back in August. We paid $164 each for them from Aares at that time.
