Where to find Water Misters (like the ones in WDW but for less $$)

I used a different kind of MistyMate. It is still an actual TM'ed Misty Mate Pump and I got it at Wal Mart for less than $20 (it's been more than a year ago and I think it was about $14.99. The website sells for a higher price than the discount stores). Mine held 24 oz so you don't have to stop and fill it up very often and it has a strap so you can attach it to your belt or backpack or even wear it around your waist and a clip if you want to clip it to your shirt. You can adjust the amount of mist you want too!

This is the website so you can see all the available ones. I. too am a HUGE MistyMate fan. It got me thru a scorching June Disney World trip last year. It is freakin' wonderful!! So light and so efficient! Sometimes, my DH would walk about 2 feet in front of me and hold the mister up and I would walk into the mist. Ahh, delightful! I would not go to WDW without it now. Love that MistyMate!!

We also used this last year at the end of June and we loved it. In fact we picked up another one so that there would be no more fighting over the one like there was last time.

It has a strap so that you can either weat it like a fanny pack or throw it over you shoulder. Sometimes the mist spray comes out a little to fast and creates a big cloud but not one person around us said they minded. In fact most people asked us to keep it going so they could stay cool to.

I think the Disney ones are the best. I have mine from our trip there 4 years ago. It still works great. I did buy 2 other misting fans with a strap for my kids. They were 10 at our CVS, I think. I need one more as my 2 yo will need a mister this year. My DH bought the o2 cool from Target. I still haven't been able to open the battery compartment so I think I'll have the 2 yo use that one just to squirt himself. My DH never wants a mister but if August is too hot, I budget another Mickey fan this trip!

LOL...ok hope this works for yah:

OK, where can I find these?? They are so cute! I love the colors! On the official MistyMate site, they only have blue.

I had to detangle a fan from my DD's hair last time we were at AK...not fun, with a squirmy hot child.

I haven't tried it, but my Walmart (Miami) had one with a grill over the fan blades - sorry, don't know the price.

I bought one of the O2 palm-size ones ($4?) and had to go back for the "Disney"-sized one ($5-6) because my DD5 couldn't make it work properly.

I think the O2 mister things look cool, but don't want to buy everything on the market, you know? No batteries is cool, it's just pump action (think super soaker) and spray.

no, you should not need one in December.

Just remember that December weather (or any winter-time weather in FL) is unpredictable...you can wear shorts one day and winter coats and gloves the next (as we did on our trip the 2nd week of Dec in '04). But mostly we were in pants/jeans and short sleeved tops.

Went to two different Wal-Marts and finally found the Misty Mates Cool Blast water misters (the ones as big as a marker). There were only two left. I found mine in the fan section.

woo hoo!! It works great!

Can someone please post a picture of what a misty mate looks like? I googled it, and it wasn't what I expected, so maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing:confused3

Annie1995 - OT regarding misting fans but I had to say -

What a cute picture!!!

Just to let you know, there's a 10% code you can use on the MistyMates website and they're on sale right now - the more you buy, the cheaper they are...SS10
