And I don't mean the gigantic Mickey Head at Magic Kingdom that sells for like $15.

They're all different sizes with different garnishes, everywhere. I like the caramel drizzled ones at the KaramelKuchen (sp sorry). I like the ones that come in balls, 6 to a bag, but those are expensive too. I do not like the small mickey mouse shaped ones that come on a stick. I don't like them when they have too much stuff drizzled and stuck on to them. Basically I am a purist. I want a big *** brick of rice krispie treat with a small amount of chocolate or whatever, or it could be plain, and I want it to be one snack credit.

Anyone got any suggestions? I AM ON A MISSION HERE LOLLOL

When I saw the title of this thread my first thought was the Caramel one in Germany, but you already mentioned that. I think other than that one the bricks are all about the same. Really not too different from place to place.

I saw a really gigantic mickey or minnie head at the Goofy's candy place in DTD last Sept/Oct - it was $50. and it was huge.
They custom make the smaller ones there for you - I wonder if you could custom make a larger one to your liking??

You may have to look hard to spot them, but most candy shops at WDW sell exactly what you want: a large brick of a rice krispy treat, either plain or without chocolate. Check out this post for a picture. Depending on the place, they're either loose behind the counter or pre-wrapped and among the other pre-wrapped candy. That post shows them at Starring Rolls, but I've bought them from the candy shop in Frontierland, and I've seen them at the Confectionery on Main Street, at the candy shop at Hollywood Studios, Mouse Gear in Epcot, Beastly Bazaar in AK, and probably other places that I'm forgetting. The best part about them is that they're a better value than the shaped ones: they're both bigger and cheaper!

$50 OMG lol

Thanks for responding everyone. I'm obsessed with rice krispies (obviously).
I make gigantic batches all the time but the only snack I seem to enjoy at Disney are the krispie treats anyway. I'm a bit neurotic

I always get the make your own ones at Goofys Candy at DTD. I also buy the prepackaged ones that are in different shapes and have chocolate coating on them and you can get those at any store at WDW just about.

I'm pretty serious about my RKTs too! It is disappointing to me how hard it is to find "fresh" ones at WDW. Most places only have the prepackaged ones. We were there in January and Starring Rolls no longer had them...they referred me to the candy shop (forgot name) around the corner...all they had were the "coated" ones on a stick-FAIL!

My go-to place is the Werther's shop in Germany. A huge block with a bit of carmel drizzle -YUM!!! And still available with snack credit...

I saw the giant Mickey shaped RK "cake" at Goofy's - cute!

When I was there in August 2011, they sold a huge rice krispie brick at the candy shop at The Boardwalk. Hope this helps!!!

I know *exactly* what you mean. My son is a RKT (plain only) fanatic and insists that the best, largest, freshest "block 'o wonderfulness" is at Goofy's Candy place in DTD. They are in the display case with the fudge, apples, etc. and are one snack credit. :thumbsup2

When we were there last in October, we couldn't find the plain "fresh" (non-packaged) ones anywhere - I'm speaking about the blocks behind the counter as referenced above. Our go-to place used to be goofys candy shop but they said they were no longer selling those...only the pre packaged ones....then went to mm to the confectionary store but no luck there either....they only sold the the big Mickey head "fresh"....so I wound up buying that one but I sure do miss the blocks.....can you get the plain blocks (minus the caramel) from the shop in Germany?

The big ones at Goofy's candy company are meant to be served more like a cake, and they are decorated with icing.

oh wow, there are others like me out there! I'm relieved

I really hate prepackaged krispie treats, they have to be fresh. That's why I loathe the mickey mouse ears on a stick ones. Even in Disney World where they are probably made the day before, the prepackaged ones still taste similar to those gross ones that come in the shiny blue packaging in a box from Kellogs. They're too faintly chemical-y tasting and the marshmallow to Krispie ratio is a bit higher. (like I said I have issues lol)

So I guess the ones from Karamel Kuchen are still the gold standard for now. I'll check out the Goofy's Candy's ones too in case they decided to restock them there, you never know

TY everyone :)

Just in case anyone wanted to see the huge $50 ones...

I'm like that, I guess I prefer to make them at home, because of that funny taste, but I will give in and eat one every now and then.

I don't believe they are made fresh daily or even the day before, but I could be wrong. There is just too large a volume needed to do that, but again, I could be wrong.
