Just got oldest DS a new pair of lime green crocs! I would like to get some Jibbitz for his easter basket. So I am asking my budget minded friends to tell me where I can get some for cheap!! :lmao:

thanks!!

thank you so much!! Never even thought about Oriental Trading!!

I have made them using the decorative buttons at the craft store (dino's, cars, animals etc) and then sewing a regular button to them just a bit bigger than the croc hole - wallah!! jibbitz!!

How do you hold them onto the croc?? I don't get it...:confused3

I got a couple "fake" ones at a flea market for $1 each.

Hi -

You push the regular button through the hole in the croc so its the backing - and then the decorative part stays on the front - thats why you have to make sure your backing button is big enough so it doesnt go back through the hole. Keep asking questions!!

I have also gotten the things to make jibbitz with from both Michaels (which i like better ) and I think through Oriental trading co (which were too long in the middle and made my jibbitz loose). So in this case, you would take your decorative button, snip the back part of it off (the part you would put thread through) and then glue it with super glue onto the jibbitz stem.

I have also used those things that are on dollar store pony tail holders, plastic frogs and lizards - just keep thinking - its fun to think of different things !!

Our five below has them. They aren't jibbitz but a knock off brand. They were 2 for 3$. They had a lot of cute ones, pirate ones, flowers, soccer balls, baseballs, footballs, dancing ones, just to name a few. We got them for our girls for xmas and they were on sale for 1.00 a piece but I was just there this week and bought 4 more and they went up in price. HTH:)

The rubber decorative part either rips or unglues from the fastener part. I tried to superglue them back on- no luck.

The ones at Mardens (I see OP is from NH, in case you venture over into Maine!) are even worse. Didn't last the day.

I haven't tried (though am curious) about the ones at Micheals. Any reports on those? Ours have been out of stock for a while. (Don't forget a 40% coupon on them though, too!)

I agree to not get the knockoffs. I bought some on ebay and they fell off and were lost forever :sad1:

If you want a better price than $3.00 each of the real jibbitz, check out ebay. I remember a seller that sold Disney ones for $2.49 each with a flat shipping fee no matter how many you purchased.

If you buy on ebay, just make sure the auction says they are authentic jibbitz.

Good luck!

thanks again! I will not bother with the Oriental Training ones then.

The Micheals ones are great! they even come with additional backings, so you can make whole new ones with a button or something if you wanted!
