I think they are pretty rare. I've only seen a coupon done as part of a promo around here - ie something like buy food in the restaurant and get a discount. or the kitchen deal where you buy appliances and get a per cent off. Last discount I saw was 20% of granite and that was instore. I go there a lot as I have 3 Ikeas within one hour of me.

Kids Stuff books in the Pittsburgh area had them for the Pittsburgh store. I recently got several coupons from people I knew with the books and then made multiple purchases with the coupons.
