Where to find calling cards?

Does anyone know where to find the plain old fashioned calling cards anymore? I'm talking about the ones where you use one of those old-fangled landline phones to call an 800 number which then takes minutes off your balance to make a long distance call. Ideally, I'd like to find one that ISN'T at&t.

I've looked at Wal-mart, Lowes, etc., but all I find are the ones to add balances to pre-paid cell phones.

Thanks!

Well, that certainly tells me who sells pre-paid calling cards, but not where to actually buy a physical card which is the problem I'm having.

Try gas stations and grocery stores. You can usually find them on the racks with chain specific gift cards.

You can by a physical card online. I haven't seen one in a store in ages.

I was going to try Kroger today. I hadn't thought of gas stations. Thanks!

In my area, you can get them at the Mexican grocery stores, Mexican restaurants, and at our Wal-Mart in the Customer Service department (where they sell money orders).

The only place I've seen them in the last few years is in independently owned convenience stores that cater to immigrant clientele. And most of the cards I've seen advertise the rates to 'call Mexico for Xcents per minutes'.

I still have a Sam's Club calling card that I occasionally use (I've had it for years, and I add $ to it about once every year or so by phone when I dial into the 800%#to use it), but I think that has become an AT&T one.

Ah, that might be the problem. I knew I got one years ago at Walmart, but it was just at the regular registers and I didn't see any there yesterday. Maybe they've moved them. I'll check the customer service area. Thanks!

Got one of these at my local Walmart years ago, but last year they no longer had them. Try a Walgreens or CVS, though not carried in all areas.

I think they sell them at my local Rite Aid, but I'm not 100% sure. Might be worth running in if you pass one.

We have a local business that sells cigarettes, lotto, newspapers, cards, small gifts, etc. We have always purchased them here. We use them to call Italy.

I last got them at my local Target, but that was years ago. Luckily, they don't expire :)

They're quite common in liquor stores in my area, especially the ones that also sell lotto tickets, maybe a shelf of sodas and snacks, and scratchers.
