My daughter is really into the Irish side of our family history and really wants to find something Irish at Disney to buy. In the past we've purchased shirts in the World Showcase (like from Italy etc). We're going to dinner at Raglan Road to give her a little "flavor."

Does anyone know if Raglan Road has any t-shirts or any other memorabilia or does the UK Pavilion have anything etc?

You should be able to find plenty of shirts, ranging from Guiness t's to rugby jerseys, at the Raglin' Road gift shop. They also have cookbooks, lamps, clocks, figurines, etc., celebrating all things Irish. From time to time you can find some nice Irish apparel at the UK pavilion in EPCOT. More selection at the Raglin Road shop by far.

I've seen them both places, with more at Raglan Road as the above poster mentioned. You can also check in the little shop next to the tea shop in the UK pavilion (the name is escaping me at the moment, but it connects to the tea shop). I've gotten Celtic jewelry from there, a Celtic cross necklace and earrings, and a sterling silver ring with a shamrock on it. I've also seen Claddagh rings there.

Much larger selection at Raglan Road but you may be able to find a few things at Epcot.

Raglan Road has a large selection of shirts and sweat shirts. The UK doesn't have much for Ireland stuff, remember, they don't like the Irish.

Just to clarify though, Celtic =/= Irish - so any Celtic designs found in the UK pavilion could be related to any of the UK Celtic nations (Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland or Cornwall), unless specified otherwise.

Where have you heard that?! We love the Irish here! Maybe you're thinking of the idea that the Celtic nations (Wales, Scotland, Ireland) tend to unite against the English when we have separate sports teams?

Not sure when you are going, but they did have a small selection of St Patricks day themed WDW merch this year in late Feb/early March. (Also not sure if you would consider Mickey wearing a bowler type hat with a shamrock in it Irish or not)

Probably more accurate to say the reverse. :)

I'm actually stunned that the UK pavilion has anything from Ireland, since they are two separate countries...though as stated there's a lot that's Celtic that isn't actually from Ireland proper. Our Celtic baby name book informed that there's : Irish, Scottish, Wales, Isle of Man, Cornwall, and Brittany...4 out of those 6 are in the UK!

Obviously you don't know anything about Ireland/UK. I'm Irish, went to univesity in England and theres ZERO animosity between the countries.

I don't think Disney is terribly concerned about geographic accuracy (although let's not forget that Northern Ireland is part of the U.K.).

I recall once encountering a CM wearing a name tag that identified her origin as "Isle of Man, United Kingdom". I mentioned to her that her tag appeared to be wrong (it's a self-governing crown dependency, not part of the U.K.). She responded that I was the first guest to ever have said anything...

My family and I have ADR at Raglan Rd in August...we have never been there and CANNOT wait! Thanks for all the gift shop info!

Diane

Not a shirt, but my parents purchased a very cute Minnie dressed in green with a little flag from the World of Disney store at DTD for my DD. (Her birthday is St. Patrick's Day, so she receives many Irish/shamrock themed gifts. :shamrock: )
