We've just returned from a fabulous week at HHI. My DH fell in love with the rockers, and I would like to get him one to rock in at home. Can anyone tell me how to find one? We'll be glad to answer any questions you may have!
I admit I've never seen the ones at HH but I'm from the south and a southern porch rocking chair is a pretty common thing around here. The best and easiest accessible ones are available at Cracker Barrel restaurants all around here. I would assume they are available in most of the country but I don't know that for sure. I have four of them on my front porch.
Got a picture? Is it something special? Were they wickered or slabbed? If they're special, I'd bet the front desk at the resort knows the answer as to where they can be purchased.
The Cracker Barrel rockers have the curved bottoms. I know exactly what you're talking about. I have two of those and two wickers.
They're about $130 here locally. I'm sure corporate would sell and ship them but my guess is the cost would be outrageous. Your best bet is to get on an interstate and find a CB.
You don't want the cheap crap you can buy that comes in a box to assemble. CB has the real deal. You'll need a pickup to get 4 or 6 and you may squeeze 2 in a larger SUV with fold-down rears.
