We are staying at the wilderness Lodge dvc for 3 nights with 4 adults and 3 kids under 3. Any recs for eating? Well probably do parks in the am, then pool/nap afternoon and the parks or dinner in the evenings as well.

We have done all the restaurants at the poly and I'd like to stick to either the wilderness Lodge or somewhere easily accessible from there.

Well the adults will like the Whispering Canyon Café, they have an all you can eat skillet and refillable milkshakes and if you have eaten at Poly you know about Ohana's. Do your little ones like characters yet? If so there is Ohana's breakfast as well as breakfast/dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

Is WCC better for lunch/dinner? My 3 year old daughter does like characters but the other 2 are just turned one year olds. I think they might recognize Mickey but that's it.

Is it far to go to HDR? Or Mickey's bbq? Or worth it for chef Mickey's?

For a 3 day visit at your resort I'd cut back on travel time and eat at the great places offered on property.

Accessible? How far are you willing to drive or ride?

Ideally we like to park the car and just use Disney transportation the whole time. The in the out of car seats and dealing with folding strollers is something we like to avoid. Ideally anything at the hotel, but we'll travel for a special meal.

We have done most in park and poly restaurants but have not explored the resorts much yet.

This is probably the best plan, I don't like to go out of our way for food, but I have found character meals like garden grill and ohana where they bring the food to you is ideal for us.

However we will have our first and last day that we could explore elsewhere.

If I was wanting to go out of the resort and eat for 4 adults and 3 kiddos I'd opt in to HDDR.

I second going to Hoop Dee Doo one night. It is easy to take the boat over to Fort Wilderness and the show is fun for all ages.

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure there is a boat to both the Contemporary (Chef Mickey's) and Ft Wilderness (Trail's End, Hoop de Doo) from the Wilderness Lodge. When our two were toddlers the boats were almost as good as a theme park ride.

Ft Wilderness also has a nice campfire sing along with Chip and Dale that we enjoyed back in the day. The Giddy Up n Go meal from the CS at Ft Wilderness followed by s'mores at the sing along makes for a fairly relaxed (and cheap!) evening with the little ones.

Definitely do Whispering Canyon at WL. It's so much fun and it's right at your resort! Geyser Point at WL is also a very good QS. For other, very accessible resorts for dinner - Take a boat to Ft. Wilderness, visit the stables and eat at Trail's End, Mickey's Backyard BBQ or HDDR. Take a boat to CR and eat at the Wave or Chef Mickey's. All close by and just a relaxing boat ride away.

Another vote for Whispering Canyon at WL. I am for the first time doing Hoop De Do Review in late May. I think it will be great and recommend it for your family also.

WCC is great for breakfast or dinner. Geyser Pt is another great choice for a meal, and you don't need a reservation. HDDR is lots of fun, just a boat ride away, at Ft. Wilderness, along with Trails End, where a tasty buffet breakfast awaits. Also, a boat ride away, at the Contemporary, The Wave has great breakfast and lunch, not so keen on dinner there. These all keep you in close proximity of the WL
