So my friend from Florida has decided to join us on our upcoming trip. She is purchasing the meal plan for everyone in exchange for me having the room. Pretty good deal, huh?

Now I am left pondering where to eat. We will be there 6 nights. I think the last morning I would like Cape May Cafe Breakfast as we leave. It would be a nice departure. I love eating there.

I think we will do 3 days of parks.... MK, DHS and Epcot. So I need a table service for each.... or something closeby and then table service at resorts or DTD on our days off from parks.

Tell us what to eat! :)

Hi! It's great to see you again. I for one miss your humor and stories of your children. ::yes::

Lessee, where to eat. I totally agree with the Cape May Breakfast. It's our favorite character meal on property. ::yes::

Have you ever considered the dinner buffet there? It's nice too!

World Showcase would be my pick in EPCOT. Marrakesh is nice, and might be fun for your kiddos (middle eastern dancer and music). If you like buffets, the German buffet isn't bad and they have music as entertainment too.

We like the French restaurant, both upstairs and downstairs.

In all our years of going to WDW, we've never had table service in either MK or DHS. LOL. So, I won't be much help there. I know loads of folks like the Prime Time 50's cafe in DHS. I wouldn't be caught dead there given the level of interaction with the wait staff CMs, but your children may get a kick out of it!

Have a great time!

I LOVE Crystal Palace @MK... my DP, on the other hand, not so much... she could take it or leave it... but she happily goes along with whatever I plan, so it doesn't matter much... :upsidedow

But I think it's a great place in MK, it has great atmosphere, and the Hundred Acre Wood gang is there. O'hana at the Poly is always great if you can get it. 1900 Park Fare at the GF is good from what I remember (haven't eaten there in almost 10 years though), and they now have Cinderella and her peeps. princess:

I ate at Le Cellier for the 1st time in May, and it was heavenly :cloud9:, but very hard to get, and I'm not exactly sure if it's as kid friendly as you would want.

I've heard that Garden Grill in The Land Pavillion is good, and it's cool for kids because it rotates (and I think it has characters). Shame you're not going to AK, because Yak n Yeti is AWESOME!! :thumbsup2

The new T-rex place at DTD might be good for your kiddos. I went inside (but didn't eat there) in August, and it looked really cool. And it has decent reviews over on the Restaurant Boards. Um... that's all the suggestions I have right now, but if I think of more, I'll be back... (gosh I'm suddenly sooo hungry... popcorn:: )

Crystal Palace is my favorite in the MK. :)

At Epcot we like Coral Reef, although it gets crummy reviews. We also haven't been in over a year and I think I may have read about menu changes.

We thought the food at Garden Grill was gross, but the character interaction was awesome. Since my family is more about food, we won't be back there. ;)

DS loves the Sci Fi Dine In at MGM, but that one is more about atmosphere than food. Their burgers are OK.

Our absolute favorites (food and service) are Citrico's, Yachtsman, and Flying Fish.

We like Wolfgang Puck's Cafe in DTD - they have lovely sushi!

Yum yum yum! I am so hungry now!!!

Crystal Palace is ok..... its really the only decent option at MK in my notsohumbleopinion. Unless we go nearby on MK day.

At DHS we went to 50's Prime time last time. My kids adored it. The food was pretty tasty. They especially loved when my friend was served a green bean sundae because she didn't eat her vegetables ;). Not sure about a repeat there... Maybe Hollywood and Vine on DHS day?

Ohana is my favorite restaurant thus far at Disney.... I just love it. I know I know... go on and laugh, Mike. I don't care :D

My friend wants seafood one night. Any suggestions on seafood? Capt'n Jacks at DTD?

At Epcot we have had the princess royal table (no need to repeat) and Coral Reef (again no need to repeat).... so thanks for the Epcot suggestions! :)

Oh wow I wanna go eat NOW!

The Cape May Buffet is a wonderful dinner! We had a great, great time there in July. I have never done breakfast there but it might be in the mix if this February trip happens!

:rotfl2:

I'm only laughing because Texas de Brazil blows Ohana out of the water, and is only a short 20 minute drive from Disney. But I understand....LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! :thumbsup2

Oooh! LOVE Texas de Brazil!

And yeah, MUCH better food and service!

But, sadly, it's not covered by the Disney Dining Plan. :rotfl:

For in-park dining suggestions, how about Mama Melroses or Hollywood Brown Derby at the Studios. We really liked both of them (haven't beento Mama Melroses in a while though . . . )

For Epcot, I'll second the suggestion for Marrakesh.

For Magic Kingdom . . . they really need some other sit-down restaurant options, don't they? Crystal Palace is usually the best bet there.

Beth, if you go to Mama Melrose's let me know how it is. We are having lunch there in December with a HUGE group. If the food is just "eh" we might be better off grabbing CS and just having drinks and dessert at Mama's.

Agreed!!! As much as I love O'hana... Texas de Brazil does blow it out of the water!! That said, at Disney, I would STILL choose Ohana because I can get Texas de Brazil at home... can't say the same for Ohana. :thumbsup2 Are you guys on their email list? I get EXCELLENT coupon emails from them from time to time...

Yep! Ate there on a buy one get one free offer the week of my birthday! :woohoo:

Multiple screen names = multiple coupons! :rotfl2:

I swear, I've never been there where EVERYONE didn't have some sort of coupon sitting on the table!

Am I the only one NOt going in Feb now?!?!?!?!

Am I the only one NOt going in Feb now?!?!?!?!

Nope. We're not going in February, either.
We're going in December to visit our FABULOUS friend Ricardo at Yachtsman.
Then next year we're going in June (or August) for our "big" 2 week trip where we will visit Ricardo more than once!

I'll put my votes behind the Brown Derby and Marrakesh. BD might not be that enjoyable for the kids ... Mama Melroses might be better. I've gone to Marrakesh twice and didn't expect much but I really enjoyed it both times.

Am I the only one NOt going in Feb now?!?!?!?!

Well I haven't planned anything either ... but I've actually been thinking about it ... the thought of being in the same place as Wally and Rosie terrifies me ... but yet it's slightly intriguing. I'm thinking about it ... but the nightmares may change my mind! ;)
