We just booked Beach Club for August 2015. I'm looking for recommendations for eating near BC. Sit down or QS. We're not doing the dining plan so that doesn't matter. Thanks!

The lounge there, Captain's Grille, Beaches and Cream, Cape May Cafe (we like the breakfast), Flying Fish, Shula's. If you have hoppers and can go into Epcot each day just about anyplace there in the World Showcase. ;)

We love Beaches and Cream..... going into Epcot is always an option also.

Boardwalk Bakery has sandwiches and salads along with their yummy baked goods. I start a YC stay tomorrow and plan to walk over there for a couple meals.

We love Cape May at the BC and Yachtsman Steakhouse at the YC. The BC has the Marketplace for quick grab-n-go items, although we find it to be very limited.

Boardwalk bakery is a must do. They have a breakfast sandwich and a breakfast bowl. Both have eggs bacon and maybe cheese? Real thick sliced bacon here too. Never had a bad cupcake or dessert item here. Refill mugs here too.

Espn club serves quality burgers and fries.

Flying Fish for dinner is great.

Cape May Buffet dinner is the best buffet on property in my opinion.

Hurricane Hannahs is good for lunch on pool days. Refill mugs here.

The great thing about BC is that you are quick walking distance to World Showcase, so lots of options there.

BC Marketplace serves edible food mostly. Because this is a DVC resort, there are more grocery type choices on the shelfs here than you find at some other resorts. The hot item menu, as mentioned, is very limited and smaller. Refill mugs here. Nice area to sit and eat nearby.

IMO the main reason to stay at BC is to be within walking distance of epcot World Showcase where there are tons of great places to eat.

We love Yachtsman Steakhouse right next door at the Yacht Club for a really nice meal. There are also some really good choices over at the Swolphin, with Il Mullino at the Swan being a really good choice for Italian food.

Another vote for the Yachtsman Steakhouse :thumbsup2 & we also enjoy the Flying Fish Cafe just over the other side of the lagoon on the boardwalk.

Like others have said, if you go to Epcot, its fun to walk around and nibble at QS from England, to France to Japan.... (and at the French market we pick up parties for breakfast the next day!)

on the boardwalk there are many nice places - We're going to try Big River Grille next visit, it gets good reviews here on the Dis. We're also not going to be on the DDP, and one place I'm looking forward to is LeCellier, but for the appetizer menu! I think it will be much more flexible to our June visit!

Love Yachtsman also!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. We are a large group so it's nice to have so many suggestions.

We love Cape May Café for breakfast and Beaches and Cream. When staying at the BC we often go into World Showcase for dinner as well. My boys love to eat the pizza from the Boardwalk; they like to sit at the tables along the water and watch the boats come and go.

There is a sticky at the top of this board that lists all the places to eat in the Epcot Resorts area. Check it out
There are many. many options in this area with all of the restaurants at the YC/BC the Boardwalk restaurants and all of the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin = all within walking distance.
We also eat most nights at the restaurants in World Showcase.
Enjoy

Cape May breakfast was really good. And our best Disney meal was at Captains Grille last trip. We got rained out of AK so we decided to find something close to our resort and we were all in agreement it was a lucky break because it was so delicious.

We loved Crews Cup Lounge at the Yacht Club, have stayed at there twice, been to Crews Cup both times and loved it. So quiet and remote as well. It is probably over looked, because it is right next to Yachtsman. DH and I have had the truffle fries, buffalo chicken, Lobster Roll, cheeseburger, and Crab cakes. All have been amazing - never let down.

Have to agree the world showcase is your best option.

Find the pizza window on the boardwalk great for atmosphere etc

I second the suggestion of the Crews Cup. Big River Grille is pretty good and you can ask for a table on the boardwalk and people watch while you eat. Picabu in the Dolphin is open 24 hrs and gives a DVC discount. It's kind of hard to find but worth it. They have a very wide variety of choices. The Fountain is in the Dolphin too. It's comparable to Beaches and Cream. ESPN club is on the boardwalk near the bakery. The Trattoria al Forno just opened. Many, many options are available.
