Where to eat in Nov on a Saturday?

We (me, my 3 daughters ages 2, 5 & 7 and my dad) are scheduled to arrive at MCO just after 3pm on Saturday, Nov. 15. We are renting a car at the airport and plan a grocery stop on the way. We are staying at BWV. If all goes well, I'm hoping to be checked in at BWV by 5pm. (Is that realistic?)

Since this is a Saturday in November, it may be the only night of our week long trip where MK will be doing the night parade AND fireworks. I really don't want us to miss those 2 events.

Where would you eat that night? We won't have had a good meal all day with the travelling, so I'd really like to have something fairly substantial vs. counter service. My reservation window opens tomorrow for Chef Mickey. If we get a 6pm PS for CM would we be able to eat there and walk over to MK by 7:30 or 8:00? Would it be better to try LTT? I really want to save Crystal Palace for Friday of that week for my youngest's birthday.

I think I would try to book something IN the MK rather than add another step to arriving at your final destination.

Consider the other restaurants at MK.

We are not fans of buffets so we opted for dining at Tony's (fair), Cindy's (good) or a more casual dinner, Plaza Restaurant (quite good and more reasonably priced).

It sounds like a rush in and out if dine at Chef Mickey's. I have learned the hard way not to plan to the minute.

Enjoy your trip! We loved WDW that very week three years ago and Thanksgiving Week last year.

How about the Cape May Buffet at The Beach Club? You could take the bus to the MK from there after dinner.

I count on an hour and a half to get baggage, pick up the car and drive to WDW....without stopping for groceries. Just getting from the gate to baggage can be 15 minutes.

I second Cinderella's Royal Table or if sandwiches will be enough the Plaza.

I think my son and I are flying down the same day.

:D Haven't booked the flights yet though.

Since you want to go to the MK I would eat in the MK. My vote would be for the LTT, it is a buffet but served family style, so you don't have to get up and chose your food it is brought to you and an added bonus you get character too!!!!

I agree that eating at CM and walking to the MK to find seats will be tough and that eating in the MK is a good idea. We love the Plaza Restaurant and it is casual fare - hugh sandwiches and salads. Would you consider Cosmic Rays - they have a Rotisserie Chicken dinner for a family of 4 that is reasonable. They also have a burger bar and a soup, salad and sandwich counter. The meal would be decent and you would have time.

Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone! I have decided that it will be much better to eat in the MK rather than at CM. I'll save CM for another day/trip.

:)
