Where to eat in MK - TS?

I am planning the dining part of our trip and the other family that we are going with and they LOVE good food. We have kids from 1 1/2 - 8 years old. I am looking for dining suggestions on the day that we MK.

Since I have the younger children, I was going to do Crystal Palace and book them at Tony's. But, we still have one more day at MK. Thinking about leaving MK and going to Ohana's. Any opinions?

Also, is it true that the Liberty Tree will not have characters in April?

Liberty Tree is only doing characters because Crystal Palace is closed for rehab until mid February. Then I assume they will return to the Crystal Palace. There are only 4 table service restaurants in Magic Kingdom:
Tony's
Cinderella's Royal Table
Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree Tavern
You can always do a meal at one of the monorail resorts and it will be easy to get back to MK

The Plaza is also TS. We enjoy the Plaza and eat there every trip but it is not a great use of DDP TS credits. (Prices are lower than at most TS restaurants.) We always pay OOP.

I agree. Almost any of the monorail restaurants are better than what you'll find at the MK.
