We will be celebrating out 10th anniversary in Magic Kingdom with our 3 year old son and want to eat somewhere nice but still kid friendly. We ate at CRT in 2010 for our son's b-day and would love to do it again but it is not available. Any other suggestions?

For something like a 10th anniversary dinner, I wouldn't eat inside MK at all! Go to one of the MK resort restaurants for a nice dinner. Then you can either return to MK or watch Wishes from the MK resort and then go back to your own resort. Many of the resort restaurants are very child friendly.

For a special meal where CRT is out, I'd leave MK and eat at one of the resorts nearby. MK is not known as a food park.

I agree with the above. O'hanna at the PR is wonderful as is any of the restaurants at the GF. There are many wonderful choices around the monorail loop. If you are set on eating in the MK I really enjoy the Plaza with my kids.

Thank you for the suggestions but as we are eating at other nicer places outside of Magic other days that week and we will only be in MK for the one day we didn’t really want to leave just to eat. The day we are in MK is our actual anniversary so we wanted something better than fast food type foods.

Unfortunately, MK just doesn't have that inside the park.

If you want a character buffet, there is Crystal Palace. I've seen varying reports about the food though. Liberty Tree has a Thanksgiving-style all you can eat dinner, no characters. Tony's, Italian, kind of on the level of an Olive Garden if you like that, but with a more limited menu. Other than CRT you may find Tony's the most "romantic" due to the Lady and the Tramp theming. The Plaza is apparently nice if you want sandwiches and salads. These are the only TS restaurants in the MK at this time. Sometime at the end of the year, Be Our Guest restaurant will open in Fantasyland, but other than the theme we know next to nothing about it yet.

I agree about leaving MK. Our girls were 2 and recently turned 5 on our last trip and they LOVED California Grill. After a bit of website stalking, I was able to get a good time so we could eat while watching Wishes. Our server was amazing with our kids, the girls really enjoyed the food, and going out onto the decks before and during the meal were quite the treat. We watched a bit of Illumination, the water pageant and even parts of MSEP were visible before Wishes started. Obviously, we as adults also found the meal to be very special.

Cali Grill is just one option...Citrico's, Narcoosee's, Artist's Point, and 'Ohana might also be nice options if you want to stay in the MK area. Some are harder to get than others, but we've had good luck by constantly searching the site.

If it were my 10th anniversary & I wanted to stay in or near the Magic Kingdom & I couldn't get CRT, my next choices would be California Grill or Narcoossee's.

If I absolutely had to stay in the Magic Kingdom (&, again, couldn't get CRT), then I would choose Tony's - for the "Lady & the Tramp" theme which seems to go well w/ a wedding anniversary. The patio seating might be nice for your anniversary as well.

I would NOT want to do a buffet on my annivesary, so that cuts out Crystal Palace - not to mention it would be less than romantic w/ the characters & all the kids. I wouldn't want a sandwich either, so no Plaza. And I would want something more special than "Thanksgiving" fare, so that cuts out Liberty Tree Tavern.

Which leaves Tony's! :) We were actually pleasantly surprised by our meal there last year. My shrimp scampi was fresh & tasty. The kids liked their spaghetti. DH enjoyed his calamari appetizer. And the desserts were good too. Plus, if your DD has an autograph book, your server can take it back to the kitchen so Lady & the Tramp can sign it for her. ;)

The new restaurants in Fantasyland may be an option...depending on when your trip is. I'm afraid I don't know if they are sit down or not, but it could be a wonderful adventure to try something new.

There is always the Turkey Leg Cart in Frontierland! :joker:

Hop the monorail and head over to one of the resorts as others have suggested. Nothing wrong with dinner at one of the in park restaurants but also nothing remotely romantic about any of these either.

If you are only in MK for one day I would definitely focus on the park. As you say you are eating at some nice places on other days. Just make one of those is your anniversary dinner.

Its not that big a deal to leave MK to hop on the Monorail and eat at the Contemporary, the Poly of the GF. Then hop back on the monorail and return to MK on after dinner. Kona, Ohana, GFC and California Grille all fit the bill and are an easy hop. Narcoose is also a great choice. Its right next to the GF boat launch literaly hop on the boat to GF and the restaurant is right there. Hop back on the boat to MK after dinner.

All of the above choices beat MK TS.
