My sisters and families will be visiting WDW November 21 to 28, 2009 and want to know where should we have Thanksgiving dinner?:confused3

All together we total 13, 7kids and 6 adults. :crowded: Do we try to find something onsite or should we go off site?

Whats good in the parks and whats good off site for Thanksgiving dinner?

DH said we should just cook dinner ourselfs :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm on VACATION!!

Do you want a traditional meal? If not, I would choose 'Ohana since it is our family favorite!

We are going to be there the same time, we are eating at Le Cellier's, it our favorite!!!

If I were going for Thanksgiving, I'd probably want to eat at the Liberty Tree Tavern (even though it will no longer have characters at dinner).

It just seems to fit the Thanksgiving holiday best.

Call me a Pilgrim (I am from MA), but I want Turkey, Mashed Potatoes and Stuffing on Thanksgiving. Not a steak in "Canada" or some pork dumplings or poi in "Micronesia".

How American is that? Did you have Chinese take-out yesterday????? I doubt it.

Just to be clear, I'm not knocking either of the other locations. Just poking a little fun. In fact, the food is probably considered better by most accounts. I love Le Celier (I have never been to Ohana's), but I'd do them on another day and celebrate one of the true AMERICAN holidays at a true American Restaurant. And oh yeah, LTT is in the Magic Kingdom which is the Best Park in the World!

Personally, I'd be doing the complete opposite of Colinsdad. I'd probably eat at one of the countries in Epcot just because I get bored of turkey and stuffing (I lived in England growing up, so, although I understand the meaning behind the food, I get bored of it). I guess it all depends on what type of meal you want.

I guess you'd be having the bangers and mash then at the Rose & Crown then? :lmao: jk

I've had dinner at the LTT (character dining) and it is truely an ordinary meal. Nothing to write home about. I'd rather eat the bangers at R&C.

But growing up on Cape Cod, a stones throw away from Plymouth Rock and Plimoth Plantation (its spelled that way believe it or not), I think I have an affinity for a traditional holiday meal. I don't eat turkey any other time of year (because it takes so long to make).

You're right. It depends on what type of meal you want. ;)

:rotfl: I had to laugh, sorry. DH's BBF and his DW have BLT's and corn on the cob every Thanksgiving. They wouldn't dream of having anything else.:confused3
