There is an e-night scheduled for May 30th, but it start at 7:00 and I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze in dinner. Counter service would probably be the most efficient, but - ICK! Food is an important part of our vacation and I hate to waste a dinner (we don't eat big lunches), so I'm trying to decide where to go for a nice dinner and still get to enight. We are staying at the GF, so I'm thinking either Citrico's or maybe, if time allows, Artist Point. Would we be out of place in park attire (ie shorts) at either of these restaurants? If we choose Artist Point, what is the travel time from WL to MK?

Thanks!
Kim

The California Grill is a really good choice -- you can just walk over from there.

We have a PS at the LTT for 5:40pm before the e-night we are going to on June 13th. Right now the listed close time is 7:00 with e-night from 7-10. Should work out good!

how about ohanas in the polynesian? it's just a monorail ride away - make it early, for 5 pm

Good question:

Here are some other choices:

Concourse Steakhouse at CR - just walk over after dinner
Narcoosee's at GF - can take the boat over to MK after dinner
Tony's Town Square in MK
Plaza Restaurant in MK (not so formal/fancy)

Artists Point is nice - just need to time your boat ride over to MK

Remember to exchange your e-ride card(s) for wrist bands

Thanks

I would recommend Kona Cafe at the Poly. Great food in a casual atmosphere. We like to eat at nice restaurants for dinner when we are on vacation, and found that Kona fit the bill when we were looking for a good meal before MVMCP in December.

I agree with Krissalee...Kona has very good food, service is fast and it is very casual. You could take the launch from GF to the Polynesian and then take the monorail or launch to MK after dinner.

You can dress in shorts and a polo shirt there and be perfectly comfortable.

It's one of the more informal "nice" restaurants in the World. And I happen to love the food!

You can get from WL to the MK in about 15-20 minutes by boat. It's easy and painless. (I'm not sure, but I think the boat may also stop at the Contemporary on the way to MK.)

Also, at the end of the day, take the GF/Poly ferry back to the GF. It's only about a 10 minute ride, very pleasant, and MUCH faster than trying to take the monorail all the way around the loop.

Bon appetite!

I also recommend Kona Cafe at Poly..we are doing it in June. Great food and monorail to MK!

We are planning two eride nights on our trip. The first night, we have PS at Liberty Tree Tavern. The second night, we are going to O"Hanas and taking the monorail over to MK for the evening.

We are going to May 17th E ride and I went thru the same kind of planning. You don't want to eat too late or too heavy or greasy (I don't know about you but I can't eat a heavy meal then go on rides) I chose Narcoossees (after first having Citricos and changing my p/s) at 6:30 because the food is lighter and the early hour gives your stomach time to recover. Besides it leaves plenty of room for treats in the MK later! Since we are staying at the GF it gives us time to go back to the room and change and get to the park in time for FITS and Spectro! Any restaurant on the monorail would be a good choice!

Have a great time and an enjoyable meal!

I'd stay away from Crystal Palace. We did that before an e-ride and we wasted a lot of time. We had a PS 30 minutes before park closing and still didn't get in until 30 minutes after the fireworks. Then another 45 to eat. I like the idea of taking the monorail to a resort and grabbing a bite to eat. Make a PS for about an hour before the park closes and the timing should be pretty good.

I vote for Tony's on an e night!

We have a 6:05 ps for Kona that night, as DS will spend the evening at the Neverland Club while Dad & I do e-night. I'm dropping him off at 6 pm, while DH goes over to wait for our table.

We are all going to spend a little time at MK that afternoon, prior to heading over to the Poly, so that we will have our wristbands before we go to dinner. The wristband line at City Hall can be nasty right at the time e-night starts; if you can't get it ahead of time, it's a good idea to get it at Splash instead; there is another wristband station there.

Definitely the Plaza in the MK. Great food, wonderful desserts and right where you want to be.
