Hi all, we're planning on spending a day at Epcot on our upcoming trip and want to book a meal for the evening. If you had to pick just one restaurant, which one would it be?

There are 9 of us in our group including 3 kids aged 2, 5 and 9 so would have to be somewhere suitable for them.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

Are you looking for a character meal for the kids? We found the Garden Grill very nice! Chip & Dale, Pluto & Mickey visit the tables. Our kids are picky eaters and did not like the food that came out (we did!), but our server seemed quite used to this and quickly brought alternatives that they happily ate.

Another option (non character that we also ate at a different night) is Coral Reef. The food was good, and our kids loved watching the aquarium while they ate. And they loved the "build your own sundaes" our server brought as desert for them!

Thanks for that but going by last years dates l think we'll just miss that as our dates are 15th - 29th Sept. But thankyou for the tip :)

We have a few character dining meals already planned so not really thinking that way for Epcot. Would just need to be somewhere with kid friendly food and atmosphere. Coral Reef though sounds the type of thing we may after as l'm sure watching the fish would keep the kids entertained. So thanks for that advice, will look into it :)

With a group of 9 at Coral Reef you will probably be seated in the highest tier which is not the greatest viewing (it's okay, not great). Or you could be seated at 2 separate tables (we were). Because of the tiered seating for tank viewing, they are not as flexible as most WDW restaurants in seating larger parties; hence, the bigger party tables are all in the back. If you don't care that you'll be seated away from the tank, this is a good choice.

My personal fave is Biergarten. The music is fun, the kids get to dance, the food is pretty good. Another option is Teppen Edo. With 3 children that young, I'm pretty sure they can seat 9 at one of their cooking tables. If you don't have one at home; the children might enjoy watching the cooking show.

We would definitely like to be sat together. The older 2 children tend to argue over who gets to sit next to my DD (They do love their little cousin!) so sitting apart would cause problems. Had suggested Biergarten but MIL wasn't impressed. :confused3 Have eaten at Teppen Edo on my previous visit and absolutely loved it. That was with a different group of people and no kids. That would be an option if they cater for children?

I would also suggest the Biergarten. They have large, usually shared by more than one party. The music is pretty good & the food all you can eat.

My vote goes for Coral Reef for a family dinner. Kids tend to watch the tank more than eat though!

We tried Teppan Edo on last visit and were not impressed. Food portions were small, not as complete of meal as similar places such as Benihanas and not as good of a show as we're used to. Try Kobe's offsite near Downtown Disney for excellent Teppanyaki!

Many have said Marrakesh is good for families with kids. They often ask the kids up to dance during the show.

Have MIL check out the menu at Biergarten!
I really enjoyed it when we ate there.
Fun atmosphere and the food was good

Thank you all for the suggestions. Have looked at menu's for both Coral Reef and Biergarten, and both look very good. :thumbsup2 Will show both to my group and go with the majority vote :)
