Hi All! First time post. I would like some suggestions on where to eat at Downtown Disney for dinner. Your best and/or worst restaurant would be great! TIA
:earseek:

wolfgang puck express is good and quick. the worse place we have eaten is captn jack--will not return!

I'd vote for House of Blues :p Their jambalaya is really good! I've eaten at Cap'n Jacks, the food was decent but the wait can be long if you go during peak periods. I went around 7:30 and had to wait nearly two hours for a table (I think its because the place is so small) ... Although, when we finally got one, the place was nearly empty so the service was pretty good :p

I really liked wolfgang puck. The pizza is great (but not standard-california style with wierd toppings) and the sushi is pretty good too. I forgot what else we had, but I remeber I liked it.

If I were in the mood to spend money, I would definitely pick Fulton's--- great seafood, good service, and if you are on the 2nd deck, great ambience. If I were looking to save a little money, but still wanted a sitdown restaurant, I would pick Planet Hollywood--- great fajitas, large servings, good service... a bit loud, but it fits the ambience, and the movie props are great to look at. If I were looking at eating on a budget, I would pick Wolfgang Puck Express--- love the Mushroom-Mushroom pizza! It was fun sitting on the heated patio in January during a rain storm watching everyone outside get wet!~

I would not pick Capt Jack's, though! Since they went from being an Oyster bar and changed their menu, the food has gone downhill, and the service isn't all that great, either!

My favorite is Portobello Yacht Club, followed by the House of Blues. Bongos is OK, but be prepared for your server to dance and carry on with the other servers rather than attempt to wait on you.
Dead last is Fultons--absolutely awful service each of the 4 times we ate there.

House of Blues! Big servings, wonderful food, great service. They don't take PS there, so arrive early or hit it when Cirque is started.

2nd choice -- FULTONS! Terrific seafood excellently prepared. Service has been 1st rate every time I've gone; even when the place was packed!

Last week, we ate at both Rainforest and Fulton's. BF enjoyed Fulton's, but I thought it wasn't worth it. We were there for lunch and were pretty much the only people there, and still I did not feel the service was very good. The waitress told us the only kitchen was on the second floor, so "when I go to the kitchen, I GO to the kitchen." Not sure if this explains the lack of good service, but who knows--I have never worked in the restaurant industry. Rainforest was okay--I didn't think my quesadillas were that great, but the atmosphere was worth it. I have heard that others have enjoyed Bongos and House of Blues. Enjoy your trip!

Portobello Yacht Club is tops on my list for Downtown Disney. DH and I really like Rainforest Cafe, though you will find mixed reviews on the boards.

If you are looking for a quick bite, Wolfgang's is great!

Just thought I'd add another vote for either Portobello Yacht Club or Wolfgang Pucks. Portobello is one of our favorites, and we eat there every trip. We tried Wolgang Pucks (the Cafe) for the first time last trip and really enjoyed it. We're definately going to try to eat there again on our next trip also.

Does Portobello Yacht Club take ressies or PSs? If so, is it through WDW-DINE or some other number? And, does anyone know how late they serve?

Thanks!

Pat
