We are going to be arriving around 7pm(hopefully) and checking into the BC. I know my kids will just want to unwind and spend the evening in the pool. What you would do for supper??

Hurricane Hanna's serves food poolside @ the BC :thumbsup2: Kids' meals come in a sand pail w/ a shovel that they can use in Stormalong Bay.

There's also sandwiches/chips/salads at the Beach Club Marketplace that you can bring out to the pool as well.

If you want to sit down and eat, you can go to Beaches and Cream, but since they don't accept ADR's, the wait times esp. around 7pm are generally pretty long for a table.

If you make ADR's, you can always dine at Cape May Cafe or the Captain's Grille and then go back to the pool :)

Have fun! It's our favorite resort!! :)

I would go to Beaches and Cream or grab something at Hurricane Hannahs:goodvibes

I think spending the first night at the pool is a great idea!

I would definitely say Beaches and Cream. Great place to get yourself in the Disney mood and it's right by Stormalong Bay.

Hurricane Hannahs would be the easiest. Servers from Hurricane Hannahs patrol the pool area. They serve the same burgers as Beaches and Cream. They cook everything to order, so it can be a bit slow, but it's good quality. If you're by the pool, you won't notice the wait as much. The sandwiches from the Marketplace are just o.k. Beaches and Cream wait times for seating can be really long. You could also walk over the the Boardwalk and get pizza from the To Go window.

This is exactly what we plan to do. We get in around 5:00pm so we've got ADRs at Cape May and spending the rest of the time at the pool. Can't wait! :cool1:

So all of those places will still be open at 7pm?? I was concerned that Hurricane Hannas would be closed. I also didn't realize there was a pizza window on the boardwalk.

Thanks for your responses:)

HH will be closed; it closes at 6:00 pm.

Sandwiches at the BC Marketplace is your best bet for something quick, easy and close by.

Well, I was wondering the same thing.. But, I'll be really arriving late on a solo trip in April.. I will not be arriving until around 10-11pm. since I'm a west-coaster, the time change does a doozy. I will need to leave my house around 7am . So, I will need to make due with peanuts and I will be hungry then. I am staying at AKL but will have car so can eat anywhere.. Are DTD restaurants open late? or did I read that the Poly food court is open late? Thanks

There's always outside pizza delivery :)

I'd recommend the pizza window from the Boardwalk personally. You can get a whole pizza and bring it back. It's not that far of a walk and kids certainly don't seem to mind of it's not piping hot.

You could also consider Gaspirella Grill at GF, you can eat in or take out.I am almost sure last time we stayed there it was open through the night.

I would be ok with this too.

We just hate to eat pizza on vacation because we eat it a ton at home, kwim? Obviously I am thinking more about DH & I the kids could careless:) I thought about running to downtown Disney and getting Earl of Sandwich to go( I have always wanted to try this place) but not sure if that would be more trouble than its worth. I guess it just depends how hungry we are--LOL.

You can grab sandwiches (and other foods, some very good) over at Picabu at the Dolphin (while they are swimming) in less time than going to Earl of Sandwich. In fairness, the sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich are better, but Dolphin ones are fine, if they don't really care what they eat, that'll work. ;)

Also, for the later arrivers, Picabu is open 24/7 and has okay food. Cafeteria style. Not great but good and always open. Not on dining plan b/c over at Dolphin. 10 minute walk from YC/BC.

Also, the limited selection of sandwiches at BC Marketplace are very good. But very few choices.

We are also arriving late to the Yacht Club..might be there the same time as you. I booked the Cape May as it is just so easy..right there in the hotel and the food is good. Are you on the dining plan?

Not sure what the pool hours would be like when you're there, but I'm almost positive when I was there in late August/early September last year SAB closed fairly early. I want to say it was around 8:30. I'd look into that too.

I'd do Hurricane Hannas because I think the wait for Beaches & Cream may be too long, and too much time outside the pool. If the kids are interested in going to the pool I wouldn't book a TS. too much time and you have to clean up before dinner. I can't bring myself to recommend attending a TS in swimsuits. Not sure how much time you'd have at the pool once you got out of the dinner, either.

The Boardwalk pizza window is not on the dining plan, just in case you are.

There are always sandwiches from Beach Club Marketplace.

Definitely Beaches and Cream for us!!! We love it there! At 7, there might be a wait as someone already mentioned.
