DH and I will be spending an entire day in DTD for 1 day during our trip. We have NEVER been to DTD before so all the places in DTD will be new to us except for RFC. We already have plans to eat at Wolfgang Puck Express (CS) for lunch. And I was thinking about RFC for dinner, but not really sure. Im kinda hoping for a TS meal for dinner with no ADR, so we can just eat when we want. But if I need to make one, so be it. So any suggestions where we should go? I was also thinking about Raglan Road. Im Irish and LOVE Irish food. Hows the food? I see they have a step dancer there that performs. Do they perform often during the day or jut during a certain time frame? Is ADRs recommended for Raglan Road? Any other place we should try?

The performers come on a bit into dinner service, so go later (after 7pm) to catch it, of course the bar gets going then too. Still I would recommend Raglan Road, you could probably just sit at the bar and still get served without an ADR, but I would make one anyway.

Ok...I'm going to say that I don't suggest RFC. I'm not sure how others have fared there, but when my family and I dined there it was a bad experience. The service was lacking, the food was cold by the time it came and we almost left because we were waiting for it so long.

On the other hand, Raglan Road is superb. I've never seen the performers, but the food is great. I'd suggest to get an ADR as it was crowded when we were there.

The performers are at night (8:00 or after I believe). And it's usually pretty crowded so I would make ADR's.

I have only written two bad restaurant reviews and one of them was Raglan Road. I'm very fair with resturants. For me to give it a bad review it has to be really, really bad and that was my experience at Raglan Road.

We had reservations and they sat us at the time we made ressies for. That was the only plus after that it was all down hill. The waiter, was horrible, he took forever to get to our table, he took forever to get out drinks to the table, and the food arrived cold and undercooked. I usually don't like to send food back, but it just wasn't safe to eat they way it arrived.

The kicker was, it took forever to get to us after sending half of it back, and it came back just as undercooked. For the life of me, I can't figure out what happened. At this point we were there over 2 hours and were worn out. We only got one drink and were in a drinking mood, and half of our party didn't eat the food. We were on the meal plan, so we just chalked it up as a really bad experience.

If I had to pay for that, that night, I would have asked for a manager, but I just wanted to get out of there.

The waiter saw that the food he brought out for the second time was untouched, and didn't even comment or ask us if there was a problem. Nothing. This guy was really clueless and I always give people the benefit of the doubt. In hindsight, I really should have complained, but it is just not my nature and after sitting there, so long I just was disguested with the whole experience.

The atmosphere is really nice in RR, so next trip, I will try to go and sit at the bar and have a drink, but never again will I eat there.

My favorite of DTD's restaurant is Portobello Yacht Club.

I second Portabello Yacht Club. The food was fantastic and our waitress was perfect (attentive, friendly, never over the top).

It wasn't overly crowded when we went, you may be able to do walk up.

I want to put in a vote for Wolfgang Puck Cafe. I would skip the Express and eat at Earl of Sandwich for lunch instead. Then go to WPC. We've usually been able to walk in w/o an ADR, but you could make one just in case.

We also had a bad experience at Ragland Road, but I will probably try it again, just because I hear so many others rave about it. Our appetizer was excellent, but everything else was "meh." Slow service, and we were seated WAY away from the dancing in a corner, despite the fact that there were six of us and we were clearly adults out for a fun evening. We did have fun because we enjoy each other's company, but the restaurant did nothing to assist in our fun. I hope the next time I go it will be worth passing up WPC... but I have to stick with that as my first choice!

I've been to raglan road 7 times, never had a bad experience. They have a live band and dancer that perform monday - saturday from 9pm to 1am. On sunday they have someone else performing. Never seen him, he's supposed to be good, but it is probably a different experience.

For my b-day in January we ate at House of Blues. That was the best!! We loved it! It was an interesting place to eat, the food was great, and the service was great. DS17 changed his mind several times on dessert and the server was very accommodating. They have the best ribs and fries!!! It was a great place for a b-day dinner!!

definately raglan road!! the restaurant is so pretty and the food was great. i had the crab cakes and the filet mignon. wolfgang puck exp. is our fav. cs. another one in dtd is the cookes of dublin. easy walk up service and their fish is really good not to mention the fried snickers bar. we had dinner at capn. jacks and it was alright. i'm a big seafood eater and the lobster was ok. earl of sandwich has really good sandwiches and cheap.

I agree. I've been to RFC before (vegas) and the food was really sub par. I dont like RFC, Planet Hollywood or Hard Rock because the food is just not good. It's mediocore food at a high price

I've eaten at Bongos and it was good. I really like Wolfgang Pucks (the restaurant). I live in Orlando and never make reservations when I go. There's a wait sometimes (depends what time/day you go) but we just hang out until our table's ready. Or they have open full-service bar seating (at the bar and high-top tables).

If you want a good, cheap dinner/lunch Earl of Sandwich is great. All their sandwiches are delicious and their tomato soup is YUMMY! I eat there all the time.

I also am in the minority that hates on Raglan Road. I've not been for dinner, but I went for lunch with my wife and it was terrible. The food was passable, but the service could have only been worse if I had been required to serve our section myself (actually, it might have been better if I had...and I've never been a waiter). I had some soup that was okay, and a pathetic pork sandwich. I'm never, ever going back to Raglan Road.

I guess I can also add that some of my family is "Irish" with a penchant for Irish food, although I don't think it gives me any more authority on what is good Irish food.

I love House of Blues, especially when they have a guy playing a guitar and singing outside. Nice entertainment while waiting for a table.

We've eaten at Captain Jacks, it was so so. And I loved planet Hollywood!!!! The kids had a blast, and the food was pretty darn good!!!

Love Fulton's Crab House - it's a must-do every trip!

Have also eaten at Portobella's and agree with PP - very good!

Have ADRs at Raglan Road in June - looking forward to trying it.
