where to change passes?

My daughter is now too old for the remaining days of her child's pass. I need to change it to the adult pass but the first day in the parks is an EE day and I hate to waste time exchanging the pass so I am hoping I can change it at the hotel or downtown Disney the afternoon before when we arrive. Any help on where to do this is appreciated!

Also, any idea how much it is going to cost? I'm trying to budget...

Thanks and Happy Friday!

Yes, you can do this at the Guest Relations office at Downtown Disney. There is no charge for upgrading the pass to an equivalent adult pass.

There have been several threads about just this and we'll be in the same position with DS in July. Other's have simply used the old passes right at the gates with no problem, as long as the child who's using it truly was a child when it was issued.
