We are considering a DVC purchase but are not sure where to buy. Here's our situation:
Over the long term, we would probably spend the most time at Vero Beach, during spring breaks (maybe every other year) for the next 4 or 5 years, then off-season (after DD, now 14, flies the nest).
BUT, DD really wants to spend her 16th birthday (late August 2004) at a Disney World Resort (BWV, OKW, or VWL), with a few friends, of course (so we'd need a 2-bedroom unit). We'll also make a few other trips to Disney World over the years, and find some of the Concierge Collection offerings very appealing.
SO... where should we buy? How early do the WDW resorts get booked up? Would we be able to get a 2-bedroom unit in late August (after many southerners have gone back to school...) within the 7-month window? I'm assuming that Vero Beach at spring break (always the week before Easter for us) would book up more quickly, so we'd want the 11-month window there. Does that make sense? But I'm a little concerned about the higher annual maintenance fee there...
Any advice from current owners? Thanks!
