Where to buy used books online?

I know I can buy used books on amazon, but I am wondering where else I can check for used books. We are lucky to have a great used bookstore near us but they don't carry everything and some of the books I am looking at on amazon are $10 each. They are not the type they have at the library either.

paperbackswap.com is an option if you have books to get rid of too. You can trade used hardback and paperback books. You send a book to someone and get a credit. That credit can be used to get a book from someone else.

probably one of the best places for used books... some dealers don't use Amazon but are on this site... Been using it since the late 1990's and it works great... especially good for finding harder to find books.

Any individual can sell books on Amazon. They may be selling three books total, or be someone who actually buys and sells many books.

I will say this about Amazon, though - I recently bought about 11 lightly used books from Amazon and various Amazon sellers and every single one of the books arrived in pristine, practically brand new condition. If not for the "Used" sticker on the side of some of them I'd think they were brand new.

I use the same type of book trading website, but the one that I frequent is called bookmooch. Have got a TON of great books from there & have been able to pass on books that I didn't enjoy enough to keep on the bookshelf. Win win.
