Where is the best place to buy plastic totes for storage? I need to do some major cleaning and organizing, but these are nearly $50 each at Target.

Any deals out there?

Walmart has some for like $7-8 bucks right now. They are not clear but the different colors could be used to oragnize them more anyways. My friend just re-did her kids rooms and bought the bins to match the new colors of there room so they just add to the decor for the room. HTH

Costco sometimes has two bundled together for a pretty good price - I think $13 or so for both.

Fantastic. I'll check out both today. I really don't care about the color. They're just for storage in the basement and garage. thanks!!

I keep hearing the ad on the radio for Home Depot. I think they have 18 gallon totes on sale for $4? They aren't that big, but a good deal.

??? depending on the brand/size, these are like $10 at Target? Often on sale.

I am cheap, but will only get Rubbermaid bins. Every time I get the Sterlite or other off brands, they crack easily.

$50.00 ??? Our Target is not that expensive, are you sure you read the tag right?

$4 this week at Home Depot They also have some small ones for $1, and a few other sizes/prices.

Lowes has 100% recycled plastic totes in blue colors for $3.50ish. I prefer rubbermaid ones, but the recycled ones were half the cost. They stack just fine, I have 25-30 of them in the garage now.

big loss has a nice size bin with rollers

$50. for that tote at Target? You must be shopping at the Target on Madison Ave. ;)

I have found some at Office Depot. They have them on a buy 2 get 1 atleast once a month.

I agree.

I much prefer the clear ones to see what is in the bin, but the truth is, the clear ones crack.

Rubbermade are more $$ but cheaper in the long run because they don't break/crack.

I looked it up on Target's website and the container the OP has listed is actually $50 for a set of 4 (Sterilite 70-qt Ultra Latch Storage Box - Set of 4).

You're right. It IS for a set up 4. I didn't even notice that!!!

Thanks all for your suggestions.

That is bizarre.... we have a ton of these things because we used them to move! We'd pack it up, take them to the other house, unload and take back empty to repack, knowing we'd use them later for storage in the basement... and the only cracked ones we have are the Rubbermaid. :confused3

I have 2 huge ones next to me filled with clothes that need to go back down the basement they are sterlite ones they have held up very good! I know they've been around since my 2nd dd was born so that was almost 7 years ago. :thumbsup2 One is blue one is grey I dont buy the huge ones in clear because they do crack.. I do buy them for toys.. not the shoe box size maybe one size up? They are 2.00$ at biglots I buy them 10 at a time :headache:
