Well I tried sending this question into the podcast hoping maybe Julie could help, but they never picked it so I am hoping you guys might have some good tips!

Does anyone know of shops that you can buy stuff for babies in WDW? My best friend just had a baby girl and we really want to get them something cute on our upcoming trip. They are also Disney fans, but they have never been to WDW, only the DLR, so I would love if it said WDW. Any ideas that you guys have or stores that you know of I would love the tips...I am sure my husband would love to not have me running in every gift shop looking for baby stuff, and since we don't have kids, we have never paid much attention to where they sell that stuff. Thanks!

In the Magic Kingdom, at the Main Street Emporium, there is a section of baby and toddler stuff. I bought a very cute pink baby dress there in August for friends who are having a baby in November.

World of Disney at DTD has a baby section.

World of Disney has the best selection I have seen, but even that is lacking for infants. A few bibs, rattles and outfits (onsies). The toddler section has a bit more at least.

Thanks guys, I'll try those places. I was hoping WDW might have a better selection than the DLR because I tried to find baby stuff when we went there and there were a couple of cute things, but most of it looked like Winnie the Pooh things that were similar to what I can get at Target, nothing was unique or said "Disneyland." Hopefully I can find something good!

We got 2 things for our son that we loved. The first was a onsie that looked like a mickey head and the other was a cool magnet that held his picture for our fridge. Also the Christmas shop had a ton of ornaments.

The baby/toddler room at World of Disney does have a large selection as does the Winnie the Pooh shop at DTD. One thing we did for friends that had a baby that were into Disney as much as us, was buy an outfit and a blanket and have the blanket personalized (embroydered) at the Christmas shop at DTD. You may want to do that at the beginning of the trip as they get backlogged for the personalization and takes a number of days before you can pick it up. Happy shopping!!!

The shop next to Mickey's house has the cutest Mickey/Minnie Bibs that are shaped like their heads and say WDW on them. We got our baby (3 mos. last trip) for his first trip one and it was so cute!!!:goodvibes

It's been a while since I had a baby, but we got some cute stuff at WoD and also the shop in Toontown. We got a really cute t-shirt that said my first Mickey T, we got some other cute things but I can't remember now and they are packed away for grandkids someday (not too soon I hope!) Also, we got the CUTEST little tiny t-shirt in animal Kingdom that had Pooh looking throgh a magnifying glass or no, maybe binoculars, can't remember, but he was looking at a tiger and it said "Tigger, is that you?" It is sooo cute and sooo tiny. It also said "Animal Kingdom" on it. I don't know if they still sell it that was 6 years ago, but they might.
I remember last trip saying a couple of times, "Oh, why didn't they have this when we had a baby?" so tehre was some really cute stuff!

Oh good, you guys gave me more hope for cute things! I love the ornament and blanket idea too, very cute. Now I might spend more time shopping than I thought (My husband thanks you all ;)) Haha.

You can buy blue or pink "baby's first Mickey ears." I love those.

Thanks for this thread! I did the same thing - emailed the podcast account - but assumed that perhaps there just wasn't enough available to warrant an entire "Store Tours" segment.

We will be looking for gifts for my new niece (she'll be born just before we leave) and I appreciate these ideas very much.

One more I thought of is to stop at one of the Christmas shops and purchase a "Baby's First Christmas" ornament with a Disney theme.

From my limited recollection, I don't remember a store anywhere on property specifically dedicated to baby clothing or gifts, but there are a few places with baby stuff.

Thanks again!

We went this past Sept and had just found out we were expecting our first... I hunted and hunted for these and couldn't find them... anybody know if there's a place at WDW where these can be found:confused3 we checked the stores on mainstreet and pretty much anyplace that we saw ears.....we also had a problem findiing any cute baby stuff besides little pooh onsies and a few dresses and boy outfits... but we didn't go back into toontown so maybe that was the place to look.... going back in Jan and we'll know if it's a boy or girl by then so maybe we'll have more luck:rolleyes:

I like the gift shop outside the pooh ride for baby items. DTD of course has a great selection. Many gift shops, like the ones in the resorts, have some baby items, too.

I had a hard time finding baby things for my niece last week. Alot of stores had a baby section, but there wasn't all that much to choose from. My niece is 8 months now, but I wanted to get her something in a 12 month or 18 month size and I never did find anything. They had really cute pink Minnie feetie sleepers, but the biggest size I ever saw at the many stores I checked, was 9 months. I was really surprised there weren't many baby items. Mostly t-shirts or onsies a couple cute dresses, but I really wanted sleepers...or actually something a bit warmer than a t-shirt or a onsie, but the Minnie sleeper is the only one I ever saw.
