Where to begin??

I was hoping for an FAQ type document on camping at WDW like the FAQ on the cruise board!

I didn't even know until very recently that you can camp at WDW. Where would be the best place to begin looking into camping there? We don't have an RV, just tent camping. Two kids, 7 and 4. Is there fun stuff to do at the camping area so you could spend a day there and not at the parks?

Go to Natash's campsite @ www.title-3.com. There is a lot of info there and also on disney's website. Look at the posts on this thread also. The campgrounds are great and economical!!!

I brought my 2 year old son to FW in July for 4 nights - we would have stayed longer but it was too hot for us. He liked the pony rides - your kids might be old enough to do the horse trail rides. He also liked the white sandy beach (no swimming of course) - just playing in the sand. There are chairs with umbrellas at the beach. He also played in the sand at the volley ball courts. There are lots of grassy fields for ball throwing. Of course there's the two pools for swimming. Bring bikes or rent bikes and enjoy biking. There's a nightly movie and camp fire sing along with Chip and Dale - we're defintely doing this next week. The nightly movie is posted in advance so you can plan this. They sell s'more packs and other snacks for this. I would definitely recommend staying at FW with kids - my son loved it - we tent camped. We're gong back to FW next week - tent camping again! My suggestion would be to enjoy all that the Fort has to offer - we did the pony rides, beach, and pool a little bit - I hope next week we'll spend more time at the Fort. The breakfast buffet at the Fort is good too. We love the mickey waffles.
