Where the heck is Pixie Hollow?

OK, so I (stupidly) assumed PH would be in Toontown, as at WDW. No luck there. CM told me it is on Main Street . . . I did not see it at all on Main Street. DLR map makes no mention of Pixie Hollow other than under shows, it says after dark, follow the twinkling lights to PH. No mention of it on the Times Guide. Isn't there a character greeting at PH? Can someone tell me where to find the elusive fairies? Thank you! :)

It is really tricky to find if you ask me. We can never find it right away. But it is in the general direction of going right off of main street. It's on the backside (I guess) of the matterhorn before the backside to Alice if that makes any sense. Good luck!!

It is located in Ariel's old spot right near the rockets in between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. We stood in line for about an hour on Tuesday. When we were close to the front of the line my 10 year old decided that maybe the line was too long and we should come back later. I am generally good humored when at the parks but I told her that if she ever wanted to greet the fairies at Pixie Hollow it was now or never because I would never stand in this line again. BTW, the wait time when we got in line was less than 30 minutes.:sad2: I hope that you will find PH and that the line will go more quickly for you. When my DH heard what I said sighed and told our DD that it sounded like he would take her next time. The fairies were great and it was worth the wait to see how happy my DD was. :)

I think I will get stuck in that line in Sept with DGD..glad to hear it is worth the wait!

We met the fairies at WDW in January but DD didn't have an autograph book then. She is only 5 but perfectly willing to wait an hour to see them . . . I think we'll try first thing this morning and hopefully the line will be short (yeah, right!) :)

Just walk towards the Matterhorn, keeping to your right as you walk past Tomorrowland. You will see the Matterhorn but before you get to it PH is to your right, if you get to the back of the Matterhorn just turn around and find the carts with fairy stuff and look right, you'll see the entrance. :)

Walk like you are going to the Matterhorn and you were going to turn right like going to the subs. If you see the pond area it's back in there. I think there is a matterhorn Photospot right there.

I always thought it was where the old King Triton water pond was, so this is not correct?

What time does PH open? Do they open early on MM ? Trying to find a way to beat that dang line!!!!! We waited 2 hours at WDW. Will the release of the the new movie increase the line Thanks

No that's correct, the King Triton pond now has fairy houses. :)

Many thanks for the clarification, pixiewings71. I do miss the little water dots at King Triton, but can't wait to check out the hollow! :tinker:

Can't speak for other times, but today (and for the past 4 days) DLR opened at 8 and PH opened at 9. The sign said 30 minutes when we got there a little after 9, and that was about right. When we were at the front of the line, it had nearly doubled in size since we arrived. I was a little disappointed that we only got to meet 2 fairies (at WDW there were 3), but they did a nice job with the water and the hidden fairy sculptures (we spotted Twitter too!). Much better than the painted hallway at WDW.

P.S. THanks, everyone, for your help finding PH! I don't understand why they don't have it on the map. :confused3

When we went (early August), we hit it right after all of our MM rides, and the wait was maybe 20 minutes or so. It wasn't bad at all.

It's there, it's just not labeled. There's a Mickey hand pointing in a red box at the location of Pixie Hollow, just like other official character locations throughout the rest of the park.

It's where the House of the Future used to be. ;)

when we were there last month, when the park opened at 8 and PH was scheduled to open at 9, we got there a few minutes before 9 and walked right in...they had opened it a few minutes early and so the line was already moving through. I had sent my parents ahead with my girls to get in line while I picked up the rental stroller so was a few steps behind them entering the park...and nearly missed the whole thing! I think we were done before it was supposed to "officially" open. Not sure if this is common...but first thing is definitely a good time to go.
