Where should you live?

This was fun! However, I selected "medium sized" towns and it told me I would like Los Angeles, Chicago, NYC, and Boston as well as some other places I would define as "large, metropolitan cities." So for me it didn't really work.

Oklahoma City OK

Hattiesville MS
Clarksville TN

It gave me a lot of spots in the Smokey Mountains. Close enough to nature, with some winter weather, but lots of summer. And close to the water. I've only lived in large cities of Miami and Orlando, I prefer the smaller back country kind of places. I like places with history to them too.

St. Helens Oregon
Astoria, Oregon
Ketchikan, Alaska
Bremerton, Washington
Seward, Alaska
Mount Vernon, Washington
Palmer, Alaska
Wenatchee, Washington
Newport, Oregon

And so on, and so on... I got LOTS of places in Alaska, Washington, and Oregon. So funny! I LOVE living in Washington, and my husband and I have talked about how much we would love to pack up and move to Alaska! its our dream!!

The climate questions always put my results far from home, because although I love our town and the location for about 9 months of the year, I could gladly live without the long Michigan winters. I should live down south according to that quiz, but it doesn't give "snowbird" as an option.

This was fun! However, I selected "medium sized" towns and it told me I would like Los Angeles, Chicago, NYC, and Boston as well as some other places I would define as "large, metropolitan cities." So for me it didn't really work.

Yeah, I chose small towns and most of my results were in the 30-150K population range. Not exactly my idea of small since I live in a town of 4K right now, but I suppose most towns the size of mine are too small to register when writing the database to support something like that quiz.

Despite my location on Disboards im currentl 20 minutes east of Sacramento , CA and LOVE IT but I grew up near Ottawa so I like cold and hot weather kind of a nice inbetween is perfect lol, so lets see how my results go!

My top place is Punta Gorda FL.
DH and I met a couple last month in Arizona who travel 6 months of the year in their rv and live in Punta Gorda. They were telling us about the town and we thought it sounded like a neat place to live.

Port Aransas TX
Brunswick GA
New Symrna Beach FL
Ormond Beach FL

Abingdon, Virginia
Mount Airy, North Carolina

I think it looks like a pretty good list. I love New England, the north east and north west, and I actually lived in Bremerton Washington as a kid so that's kind of funny.
I'm surprised Utah didn't show up because of putting my religion.

Good gracious, whatever did you check to end up with Waynesville, NC on the list? DH's family is from there and believe me, it's a town you move away from, not move to!

I was surprised that several of these were spot-on for me, but then there were all the Texas towns. Wouldn't do Texas, I don't think. I guess it's b/c I said I would do Southwest. But I was thinking AZ or Utah. Hmmm. Must get DH to take the quiz now....

Too funny!!! 9 of the 16 places chosen for me are within mere miles of the lake where I am right now..:rotfl::rotfl:

I guess I already know what I like - what I don't like - and where I "want" to be..:thumbsup2

I took out all of the places that were too near the Gulf. I also took out any town with too much snowfall. And for personal reasons, I removed any suggested town in NC.

I was left with the following short list.

Clarksville, TN
Chattanooga, TN
Johnson City-Kingsport, TN
Greenville, SC
Bowling Green, Kentucky
Hampton, Virginia
Norfolk, Virginia
Joplin, Missouri
Springfield, Missouri
Tulsa, OK

The funniest part about the list is that I have always loved Tennessee. I spent 8 years of my youth there and I have always wanted to get back. As for Greenville, SC, Hampton, VA, and Norfolk, VA, I have always thought that they would be nice places to live, but I haven't had any reason to move there. I had a friend who lived in Missouri that spoke highly of both Joplin and Springfield and she said that I should visit because I would fall in love with the towns and the state. As for Tulsa, I am not so sure that OK is ready for me. :rotfl:

We have been talking about moving in the next 4-5 years. With Gabby's job, she can work from just about anywhere with an internet connection. I work in the medical field but I could be talked into doing something else. Who knows, maybe one of the places on my list will one day become our new hometown.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but there is a LOT of snow near Kona. It is about a two-hour drive up the volcano and it is beautiful there. Nice skiing, too.

I had no idea! So I guess they did get my #1 place right.:) Thanks.

A list of places I never heard of.. :rotfl:

My number one pick is
