Where Should We "Hook-Up???"?

My son and I are meeting my cousin and her family at WDW next Friday. She is arriving at WDW on Tuesday and we will join them on Friday.

We are thinking we will meet at EPCOT on Friday afternoon (approx. 1:30 p.m.) This gives my son and I some room if our flight is delayed. They are going to the Animal Kingdom on Friday morning.

Do you have any suggestions for a good place for us to meet at EPCOT?? Someplace that might be out of the hot sun in case we are waiting for a while. By the way, they haven't been to Disney in many years, so they are not as familiar with it as we are.

We met the in-laws at Epcot between Canada and England. I think it may have been in front of the Rose/Crown restaurant. There were a couple of benches in the shade. It's also right by Future World.

If you want to get inside, The Land in Future World may be a good place. There is an escalator that goes down to a Food Court type area with tables.

Four suggestions (since I assume they'll be entering at the front of Epcot): the downstairs Food Court inside the Land pavilion (plenty of room and food choices), "Pure and Simple" food area inside the Wonders of Life pavilion (not as noisy as the Land pavilion), the sitting area inside Fountain View Espresso and Bakery at Innoventions West (with a neat view of the water ballet outside every 15 minutes at the Fountain of Nations), or the Electric Umbrella Restaurant at Innoventions East (an inside fast food area, not as special as the other three). They can pick up an Epcot Guidemap inside the entrance turnstiles and find any of the above areas.

There is a very large flag pole right in front of the EPCOT entrance before you go in. You can't miss it. You could meet there.

Yes, we will have the cell phones with us, but I want to have a plan in case the phones don't work for some reason (you never know).

I'm thinking of meeting at the United States Pavilion in the World Showcase. This way, if they arrive long before us, they won't have to come back to the front of Epcot to meet us and vice versa.

Good Choice--The US Pavilion is a nice shady spot and a Kidscot station with very friendly CMs.
