My family and I will be going to Universal Orlando for the first time since IOA opened for a Florida resident preview. We normally buy a season pass for WDW and always go there when we wonder over to Orlando. My 11 yo. DS has said enough Disney, he wants to be thrilled!

I do have a reason for all this background info. ;) The main reason we continue to return to WDW is the dining options. We all enjoy good food. Finally, to my question.....

Where should we eat  My son wants to eat once at HRC (probably for lunch), and I have made a reservation for Tchoup Chop. We need suggestions for 3 dinners, breakfasts, and 4 lunches. We have eaten at Emeril's and will be eating there in New Orleans the same month, but we would go there again if you all don't feel that there is 3 other good dinner choices.

By the way, we're stay at HRH (my son's only other request). There will be my DH, DS(11), and myself. Sorry so long and thanks for all the help! :o

Depending on your dates, see if Mythos at IOA will be open for dinner if not lunch will do!

Absolutely plan a dinner at Mama Della's located at Portofino. Wonderful Italian food with warm welcoming surroundings.

At City Walk Latin Quarter has delicious food and a nice show at dinner time.

We also loved Jakes at Royal Pacific Resort.
Tchoup Chop at RPR is a great experience for food and atmosphere.
Breakfasts can be full or continental, both offered at HRH. Cinnabon at City Walk is good for a quick sweet breakfast. Pastamore at City Walk offers breakfast. I really like the bakeries at IOA and Universal for a nice start to our day at the parks.

Confisco's at IOA is good for lunch, they make a great wrap.

At CityWalk we like Margaritaville for lunch or dinner. Food is always good and the atmosphere is fun! My kids really like NBA City also.
Sometimes I feel like we plan our vacations around the different meals we can enjoy! I love the variety Universal offers.

You can view many of these menus at http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/menu.htm and also at www.citywalk.com

We prefer sit down restaurants so I would suggest Mythos in IOA and Lombards Landing in US. We also had snacks in Thunder Falls Terrace and Croissant Moon Bakery both in IOA.

Ohh! At Islands of Adventure for breakfast...there is a little place in the Port of Entry (to your right when you enter) and they sell Krispy Kreme donuts and DELICIOUS ham, egg, and cheese crossaint sandwiches!! I usually can't eat too much in the morning and share one of these sandwiches with my dad. They are really good, quick, and you are already into the park so you are ready to go!!

I always get these when I go. :) Yum!

Anyone remember what the place is called? It's right before you split off to go to either the super Hero area and Suess Landing.

One of our best meals of our entire trip--16 days long--was at the MoTown Cafe. We ordered 3 different BBQ dishes and shared them between the 3 of us. It was great. The atmosphere is very unique. And the kids loved seeing the videos on the monitors of Jackson 5, Gap Band, Rick James and etc.

We were only at USF for 2 nights. We are planning on staying 3 nights next year and we will eat at Motown twice. We also rec'd a 15% discount with our AP. Our total bill including one dessert shared between the 4 of us, meals and drinks and a 20% tip--we had a GREAT waiter was $65.

Flyfly_Eclipse, Thats croissant moon bakery. Breakfast here is a great start to the day!

Thanks JessicaR!! :)

That should have been an easy one to remember!! :p

Thanks guys for the suggestions. So far we have decided to try Mythos and Mama Della's, both of which have a yummy looking menu. This leaves lots of meals still open. :) I'll have to check out your other recommendations now. Keep the suggestions coming! :Pinkbounc

Hi there - we did Universal for 5 nights last summer and had lunch at Margaritaville 4 times - it was just excellent and we kept going back. It is at City Walk right between the 2 parks and the food and atmosphere is great.

The other day we had lunch at the hard rock cafe and enjoyed it too.

Have fun on your holiday.
