I feel like every time I have gone in the past, we end up eating at the same places. Always went to Taste Pilots now Smoke Jumpers. Usually end up at the Hungry bear (which is closed when we go). I want to try new and tasty items, without spending TOO much each meal. Where are the places where we can split meals and still be full? I am travelling with my husband, sister, 5 yr, 4yr and 8 month old. The 5 year old will eat anything, the 4 year old will eat nuggets and fries, but also fancy cuts of meat and chicken. I remember last time we went, I went to Award Weiners to get some grub, assuming there would be fries but there were not. And their kids meal thing was just snacks. That's not a meal! I want places where the food is worth the price, but my kids can get actual food and not just gogurt and apple slices. We are probably going to skip BB this time, and do the on the go PTN package. And we are doing one meal at Cafe Orleans. Other than that, I need lunch and dinner suggestions for 4 days in the park, opinions on food that you have actually tried please!!! Thanks much!

Plaza Inn fried chicken is delicious and can be shared! Carnation Cafe has all kinds of yummy things that can be shared, burgers, chicken friend chicken, pasta. In DCA we love Wine Country Trattoria and my niece and I ususally share a shrimp pasta meal. We also love Jazz Kitchen and Tortilla Joe's in DTD.

We did the Plaza Inn fried chicken meals this time and they were HUGE. Dd (13) and I should have shared. We also had way too much food at Cafe Orleans and wished we had shared. Carnation Cafe is also yummy. We love to eat at Flo's. Had their breakfast this time and we were all three happy. Dd used to love their turkey sandwich kid meal, but on our July trip did not enjoy it as much. Maybe younger kids would tho. They have good food options at all their meal times though. We also love the clam chowder in a break bowl at the wharf in dca. Plenty enough for two people to share, imo, especially if one is a small child. We are never able to eat the bread bowl. Even on hot days, it often cools off enough at night to be enjoyable. We did not care for the chinese food place there, but the portions were huge and we might have just been picky.

The chicken nugget meal at the Golden Horseshoe and the walk up next to it are very well portioned and they are white meat. We could easily share. Also, they will make a 'dessert nacho' for about $6 that is huge and a nice treat to share. Dd and I could not finish it even.

Carnation Cafe has lots of yummy options. We also love the Pacific Wharf Cafe. I don't think they have nuggets and fries but they have the most delicious soups and salads served in bread bowls. So good!

In DCA we always make a stop in the Pacific Wharf area because there's something for everyone there. Soup, salad, bread bowls, mexican food, asian food, beer, and ice cream places are all situated around shared seating. I'm not sure what the kids' meal options are like though. I always get clam chowder in a bread bowl and it's my favorite food in either park. It could probably be shared between one adult and one child, but two adults would likely need something more. I tried the mexican place as well and was pleased, and my partner (who is asian) always goes to the asian place, so I assume it is also good.

The Plaza Inn in DL has large meals that can definitely be split. In fact, two orders of the fried chicken would likely feed everyone in your group (we shared one order between two adults and had extra).

If you take a walk through downtown Disney you will find Earl of Sandwhich near the monorail & DLH side of DTD. Nice bang for your buck in our book! Great sandwiches. Affordable prices.

At Disneyland....
Pizza Port has pretty good portion sizes on pasta. They also have pizza and salads.
I like the chicken at Plaza Inn.

At California Adventure....
I love the soup at Pacific Wharf.
I enjoyed the salad I had at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta.
They were closed during our visit, but I really want to try the skewers at Paradise Garden Grill

Rancho Del Zocalo is one of our favorites. You can share there for sure. Generally DH and I each buy a plate and share with the kids. They were 2 and nearly 5 on our last visit. It's good Mexican food, especially considering you're in a theme park.
