Where should we eat in Downtown Disney?

Hi,

We will have the dining plan, and want to make one ADR for somewhere in Downtown Disney. I know most places there do not accept dining plan. Where would you go with three small kids (fairly early...5-6 pm). In mid-December if that matters. We would love to do Rainforest, but it's not in the dining plan, correct?

Also, is it a long way from DD to the Boardwalk via Disney transportation? If not, we could eat on the Boardwalk. Thoughts?

We ate at Raglin Road Thursday evening. It is on the plan, and was not crowded early. Very good food and service. Basic Irish fare, and tasty. Kids might go for Shepherd's Pie...pretty much ground beef with mashed potatoes on top...but very good.
