Where should I stay near the airport

Hello,

I'm planning a trip for my family in January (for the marathon, then staying a week), but travel in my world is never simple!

Due to business commitments, I'll be flying in Thursday evening, with my family flying in from three different airports Friday. Then, the following week, my family will leave Saturday and Sunday, but I'm not leaving until Monday morning.

We're staying at SOG Friday night through Friday night, so I'll need a hotel for the Thursday night before our Disney stay and Saturday and Sunday after. Can someone recommend a nice hotel for me? I'd love to stay at Disney for the extra days, but it's just not working out. Since I'll have to pick up the car and play chauffer, I thought it might be easiest if I stay near the airport, but I've never paid attention to what's near there.

Thanks for your help!

there are several Marriott, the Hyatt is actually in the hotel, most of the chains are nearby.

which is your favorite chain hotel?

Thanks for your response!

My current favorite is Marriott - but that's just because it's where I stay at my client site. I've had good luck with Hilton's before - and Doubletree cookies are usually divine! Recently, it's the "big fluffy white beds" that usually make my choice for me.

Do you have a favorite of those near the airport?

I have stayed at the Hyatt inside the airport. I was really great. Will be staying there again this year.

another vote for the Hyatt in MCO. I've also stayed at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott. It was OK and the free breakfast was nice.
Also stayed at the Wingate Inn. Not as nice as Fairfield. Service very mediocre, AC leaked water on the carpet, breakfast was not as good as Fairfield. Frozen pancakes hadn't even thawed when they put them out.

nothing beats the convenience of the Hyatt and there's a rooftop pool too.

I agree that the Hyatt at MCO is really nice.

I have also stayed at the Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport which is nice and caters to a business class.

I stayed at the MCO HYATT for work a few weeks ago but paid alot ($180 + tax). But work paid for it, so I didn't mind. The hotel was great.

So great, that I booked it for Dec 16 for one night post cruise. Got it on priceline for $48!! :goodvibes

Stayed at Marriott twice this summer (to and from Miami) and it was nice. Just renovated last year, so rooms were new. Has an indoor and nice outdoor pool so if you want to take a dip. Plenty of eats all around it and just across from airport. I was surprised we heard no planes in our room. :thumbsup2 Oh and both times we got great rates, $109 and $99.

I use Priceline for 3* around $50 and usually get the Marriott. At 2 1/2* I get the Amerisuites for about $35. I really like the breakfast there.
