Where Should I Stay At?

By popular request (BambiTamby!), heres another poll. Where should I spend my summer vacation? LOL

You know the drill, pick where you'd like to see me stay, and please post a reply of why I should stay there, since there are too many choices for me to pick from.

As of right now, there are no discounts, so I'm pretty much dealing with rack rate - I'll list the rate so you can compare the prices to decide what is really "worth it." Here is what is currently available that I'm considering:

Beach Club - Standard View - $329

Polynesian - Garden View - $344

Grand Floridian - Garden View - $384

Animal Kingdom Lodge - Deluxe Savanna Bunk - $385

Yacht Club - Water View - $395

You know, I think the decision might be too hard - perhaps you should send me first to make sure everything is the way you would want it. Only thinking of your best interests of course, the sacrifices I would make for my DIS friends. Perhaps if I tried all of them for you to make a fair choice?

I voted for YC water view.

I would also highly consider AKL or GF.

I would do YC or AKL.

If codes come out, then I would probably see what kind of rate you could get on AKL concierge.

Lalala, in a few months I'll be back at Disney...

A few months?!?!?! Better get ready to book something! LOL --- these rack rates are killing me, I think soon I'm going to cave in and just book connecting rooms at the French Quarter! Then, if discounts come out, for the same price, we should be able to switch to connecting rooms (standard, or maybe water/pool?) at Animal Kingdom Lodge. That idea sounds cool. Ahh, planning...

Well, I am absolutely NO help because I am having as much trouble with my decision!!! My finalists are all 5 of the hotels you have listed in your poll- same views even! I am also considering 2 rooms at the contemporary too since that's a cheaper option.
We need two rooms no matter what resort we choose. This is quite an investment.

I voted for AKL because that is one we are definitely choosing for the first half. We're staying 12 days so we're splitting our stay between AKL and (?????).

in the middle of the magic, and mom's wanting to stay there.


You know, an AP YC Waterview rate usually is a couple of dollars shy of a YC concerige Garden view room.

my first choice would be to do something that you ALL haven't done!

Why? Because the Beach Club is, so far, our favorite resort. We love the Epcot Resort area. Love Stormalong Bay and enjoy the boardwalk. I didn't vote YC water view because the $$ difference between standard and water view doesn't seem worth it to me.

Again, my vote was for AKL - you haven't stayed there yet, and you will be in the Epcot resort area at BWV's. Aaaaanndd - AKL is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I voted for the Grand Floridian since I know how much you like that resort (it's one of my very favorites as well). Also, it has a great MK area location. However, now that I read that you have never been to AKL, that's definitely my choice. It really is a wonderfully well-themed resort, and the savanna view rooms are incredible!

I voted YC Waterview because with the full balconies at YC, the view really is worth the extra $$.

I'm jealous...I want a summer vacation in Disney too! LOL (Yes, I realize I didn't even go for my winter vacation yet!) I'm already thinking about where I want to stay NEXT!
