Here's the itinerary for the first day of our trip next month:

Princess Breakfast at Akershus in EPCOT at 8:30. Very little touring of EPCOT, due to DD's and DW's dislike. We'll see about 3 attractions and then ride the boat to spend the remainder of the day at MGM. We'll stay for Fantasmic and then depart.

The dilemna: I can't park at EPCOT, because we will not have time after F! to ride boat over and enter through International Gateway, then walk through to main parking lot. If I park at MGM, do the boats run early enough to get us to EPCOT for 8:30 PS? I don't recall them running that early from out previous stays at BWV. Since we are not staying on-site this trip, the parking problem has me baffled. I really do not want to move the car during the day, but is that my only option?

C'mon all you out-of-the-box thinkers.:earsboy:

Why not just drive to Epcot in the And then drive over to MGM afterwards?

We did this in Feb one day. The drive took about 10 minutes.

Given the circumstances, I would probably park at Epcot for breakfast, then go back to the car and park at MGM.

The thing is that the boat to MGM probably doesn't start running until probably about a half hour before MGM opens, which is 8:00 AM (for onsite guests only, but anyone can park) on Tuesdays & Saturdays, and 9:00 AM the rest of the week. So if this falls on a Tuesday or Saturday, then it MIGHT work, but I wouldn't risk it.

What you could do is park at the Ticket & Transportation Center (MK parking lot), then take the Monorail over to Epcot, do the breakfast thing, take the boat over to MGM, and then at the end of the day, take a Disney bus from MGM back to the Ticket & Transportation Center (or a bus to Polynesian, which is right next to TTC). Wow, that would be all forms of WDW transportation in one day! Might be kind of fun though.

Or, like I said, you could just park at Epcot, & then move the car to MGM. That's probably the best route.

Those are pretty much the options.

Don't anyone yell at me - but since the BW is an actual destination - IE dining entertainment and not just a resort - couldn't you just park at the BW walk over to Epcot then boat over to MGM then take the boat from MGM back to BW and get your car?

Just a suggestion

Sue

I also think that parking at Epcot in the morning, and then driving to MGM is your best bet. It will probably get you to MGM fastest as well - the boats are VERY slow, and will probably stop at the EPCOT area hotels (though I'm not sure about that). When we stayed at the BC, we found that driving to MGM was faster than taking the boats. Plus, at the end of the day, when everyone's tired, you won't have a long trip back to your car.

I believe that you only have to pay for parking once, and when you get to MGM, you just show your're parking receipt from EPCOT and you don't have to pay to park again (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong).

I also think parking at Epcot and then driving to MGM is your easiest/quickest option. The other option you have is to park at MGM and walk over to Epcot if the boats are not running yet. Check to see if either park is EE and when the boats start. You could also walk from MGM to Epcot. We have done this a few times and my 7yo and 9yo and I think it took about 30 minutes. If you are morning people and don't want to move your car, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the early morning walk.

Have Fun
