We will have 1 night where my sister will be watching DD, so that DH and I can go to dinner alone. Where should we go?? We're open to anything! TIA!

DW and I did California Grill last trip. It was a great meal, and if you schedule it right, during the meal you can go outside and watch Wishes from the balcony. Admittedly, it wasn't exactly "kid-free", but we had a very nice meal in a semi-romantic setting.

I'm guessing the only way you get to really romantic would be to plop down the several hundred $$ to eat at Victoria and Alberts. Even so CG ran us about $125 without any drinks, but with a Flatbread, Salads, and splitting a dessert.

We had the worst meal ever at California Grill. It's noisy, terrible service and rushed. Not the place I'd go for a leisurely, adult meal.

The Bistro de Paris is quite nice and can be very intimate. They have lovely service and very nice selections on their menu. If you don't want the menu selections you can do the Degustation. It's an event!

It's quiet there and fairly free of rowdy adults or children. :)

Jiko is nice too, as is Artist Pointe or Yachsman's Steak House. ::yes::

Oh yes, Bistro de Paris would be nice. If you want to stick to the dining plan I also like Chefs de France, get some champagne and celebrate.

How about Flying Fish..then you can walk on the Boardwalk after.

I also recommend California Grill..I really enjoyed my dinner there.

Victoria and Alberts if it is in your budget. If not, Jiko, Blue Zoo, Artist Point are nice for just the two of you. We happen to like California Grill quite a bit, but we bring the kids there and i don't think of it as being romantic and quiet.

Narcoossee's at GF. It's a nice, relaxing atmosphere, you can watch Wishes from the dock right outside the restaurant. Oh, and the food is really really good!:goodvibes

Jiko. . .Loved CG as well but go with the understanding that if you are going anytime near the fireworks it will be loud but the views and food are worth it!

Top choice would be V&A; the cost compared to the quality of the meal is definitely low--this place is 10 times better than any of Disney's signature restaurants but only about twice as expensive.

If it's out of your budget, I'd go with Bistro de Paris or bluezoo. If you have to do one that's on Disney's dining plan, I'd choose Citricos or Jiko.

If you even SORT OF like seafood...BLUEZOO!

If you don't like seafood at all....BLUEZOO!

DH and I ate there last Saturday. It was AMAZING. We had the filet mignon, and it was better than CA Grill by leaps and bounds (and cheaper too...).

Bluezoo is my new fav. restaurant on property. They have some pretty awesome drinks too...

I had an amazing dinner at Narcoosee's last July. While we ate the electrical water pageant went by. The food and the service were top notch! After dinner we went out on the deck and watched Wishes. They pipe in the music so you have a great experience!!! I loved it.

The next trip I am planning to go to Flying Fish and the California Grill. Hope I have as good a time!

last trip we did Narcoossee's at GF and then went over to MK it was fun just the 2 of us I felt like we were dating agan and this trip we are doing Yachtsman at the YC and then over to the Board Walk to Jellyrolls for some fun or to Epcot.

Victoria and Alberts if you want to splurge! Otherwise, I'd do any one of the signatures depending on which menu appeals to you the most. I recommend Artist Point if you like salmon or buffalo. If you want a good view, I recommend California Grill or Narcoossee's. If you want to explore the Boardwalk, then I recommend Flying Fish.

Jiko and Citrico's are both quiet, if that is your sole criteria for romance. We were just at Disney in February on the DxDP and I really felt that our meal at Jiko was only so-so. This made me particularly sad because we had really great service there.

Citrico's didn't leave me awe-inspired, either. It was good...not sure if it's worth the forty dollar entree prices, though.

The food at Flying Fish was exceptional; really enjoyed what we had.

But we loved California Grill. Granted, we had a window seat during Wishes on Valentine's Day, but I still thought the food was pretty outstanding. there's a lot to be said for being able to look out on the Magic Kingdom.

The girl at the check-in desk downstairs was also the first to catch the Happy Anniversary on our reservation and give us our pins and make a big deal, so that added to the magic.

And IMHO, stay away from Chefs at ALL COSTS. We had just about the worst meal of our trip, possibly one of the worst anywhere, when we were there in February.

I would suggest any of the sit down restaurants in the Swan/Dolphin complex since you won't be jockeying for space from all the DDP diners. This is a more convention oriented hotel so they aren't so Disney mentality of moving people in and out like cattle.
