Where Pixie-Dusted Birthday Dreams Come True! A July Trip Report! PTR Link! Pg. 116

I am caught up. I had to cheat and use links, but then I read that Connor traded to get you a castle and I had to know...so I went back to skim. :rotfl:

I had a silly band castle that I wore all the time with my Mickey watch. My daughter gave it to me bc it looked like the castle. :goodvibes It broke over the summer.:sad2: I bet there is another one (my girls have about 300 spread out on my dining room table right now.)

I dislike EE. I would recommend that you try EVERYTHING, but really, EE is rough if you hate rollercoasters/ heights- so I might not suggest it. I have ridden it once each trip with my family, but I HATE it. I want to see the Yeti badly enough to do it, though. Unfortunately, I have a hard time spotting him anyway (fear, perhaps.) The first incline is so steep. I guess after that it isn't too bad. I did think that when we went backwards, we went upside down (obviously logic is hindered by fear too.)

I do LOVE RnR and Big Thunder.

I love your Sherpa references; I teach Into Thin Air (summer reading for AP kids) and took pictures of the queue for Everest to share with my students. Not sure how I will fit them in...we've already finished with the book. :headache:

You're right! You do go upside down in a loop, right after the Yehti grabs you out of your seat, holds you upside down my your toes and then puts you back in your seat. Few people realize it, because their eyes are squeezed tightly shut! :lmao: (Sorry, I couldn't resist - I feel the very same way about TOT - I'm sure horrible things are happening the whole time!)

Looks like Connor had a great Birthday weekend! I miss all the boy activity around here, but not the noise!:goodvibes My oldest DS went through a stage where he and his friends would spend hours playing some sort of adventure with tiny Star Wars figures.

What a great birthday weekend!!! Sounds and looks like Connor had a blast and a whole lot of cake (YUMMY)!! I think though I'm with Charles and I will have a couple of lightsaber pretzel rods if you don't mind!!

I thought of you last night when I was posting those pictures -- pretzel rods are your favorite thing at Goofy's, aren't they? :goodvibes

Great loot, lots of smiles, and a very happy birthday boy...all make for one very successful weekend!!

Thanks for sharing with us Jackie!

I agree!!! :goodvibes

I will take the Virtual Dole Whip:laughing:

Coming right up!

I think I may cheat and get the kids Target silly bandtz and tell them I got them at Disney!!:rotfl2:

They are cheaper there than they are at Disney! :thumbsup2

Glad Co9nnor had a good birthday!!:banana::cloud9:

Thanks!

Expedition doom......:rotfl2: Sorry you missed EE.....It really is a lot of fun. I wish I could convince you to ride it once.

I have ridden it once way back in 2007 -- does that count?

My frozen chai tea came in a styrofoam cup. I like the see-through plastic cup better.

How strange! I wonder if they were out of plastic cups?

:thumbsup2 to Happy Birthday FP's. So glad you had a blast on kali. That's why I buy dollar store ponchos - just for kali and splash. Wait until you see my splash red neck photo. :scared1:

Can't wait!!!

Loved your update. The kids look so great in all the pictures!

Thank you!

What a wonderful birthday!! :) I love the little angel with the UK T-shirt!!! ;) GO CATS!!! Awwwwwwwww.....September Babies are the best!!!!!

Thanks! I think his family is actually from Kentucky. I know Connor was all concerned this summer that Christian might be moving back there. Is Megan excited about her upcoming birthday?

What a great birthday weekend!!!:goodvibes

The cards have spoken.... Oh my!! :rotfl2:

Tracy

Connor was cracking us up with his fortune telling. He says he wants a turban to complete the look.

What a fun birthday weekend! I can only imagine how loud a bunch of boys playing clone wars can be! When we have one or two boys around our house I feel like it's WAY too loud!

They were very well-behaved, but wow, their lungs sure our strong!

I love your little Piglet too!! So cute! I should get some for my SILs - bunch of nervous nellies that they are!

I thought he was just precious!!! Yes, I think all nervous nellies need a Piglet. :rotfl:

Yes, Target is turning orange and black. The school supply aisles are now the Halloween aisles.

Hurray!!! I plan on pulling out our Halloween decorations this weekend. It's never too early for that! :thumbsup2

Those star wars loving boys can get loud. I remember those days. :)
In fact, even by himself my DS can be quite loud.

They were very passionate about playing at being clones. LOL!

looks like an excellent birthday weekend! The party looks like tons of fun and I think is something that will be in my not too distant future.

Without a doubt!!! With your two boys, you will soon get to experience that! ;)

I wonder if Connor could tell my fortune long distance? I'd sure like to know what to expect....

Looks like a great birthday weekend!

It was a great weekend -- thanks! I am sure Connor could be persuaded to tell your fortune over the phone. LOL!

I have to agree Boys are very loud!

Looks like Connor and his friends had blast.

They had a great time! When I was tucking Connor into bed Friday night he gave me a big hug and said, "Thank you for my party." It made all the preparation and everything so worth it!

All that cake! I could really eat some right now.

We have lots leftover!

Connor was so serious when we read Chelsea's future. Since she's going on a trip does that mean you're planning another trip?

We aren't planning a definite one yet, but there has certainly been talk around here. In fact, last night Charles asked when I was going to put down a deposit. :woohoo:

You're right! You do go upside down in a loop, right after the Yehti grabs you out of your seat, holds you upside down my your toes and then puts you back in your seat. :lmao: :rotfl::rotfl2: I suspected as much!

Thanks! I know I will miss the action when he is older. It's funny because sometimes when he has friends over, we don't hear a peep because they are so busy playing with Legos or toy soldiers or action figures.

I wonder if Connor could tell my fortune long distance? I'd sure like to know what to expect....

It's a boy. :)

Just messin' wif' ya. ;)

So glad Connor had a great birthday, CP. :thumbsup2
Liked Wigd, I'd like to know the future, too, I think.
That is, if there's a winning lottery ticket and early retirement in it.
And DVC.

If not, maybe he could humor me and tell me some good things just to keep me going.

Speaking of, do we know what Keeley is having? Oh, now that I have typed that I am pretty sure it's a boy, isn't it? Clearly, I need more coffee.

So glad Connor had a great birthday, CP. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: That's what I have told him, too. My fortunes have been pretty hit and miss -- sometimes they are good ones, and other times I don't think the cards are accurate at all. :lmao:

I'm soooo behind Jackie but wanted to tell you I was here, trying to catch up. I've read your last two updates so far. Wow, Connor had a few fun birthday celebrations! What a lucky kiddo. I'm sorry that you didn't ride EE that day. It actually took me two trips before I ever rode. It was okay but did scare me a little bit. A frozen chai sounds like a better idea to me too. ;) And that shrimp lomein looks delicious!! Ok, going back to catch up on more!!

I think Connor and Evan would have a great time together.

Connor is my empathetic child -- he is always very concerned with making sure everyone else is happy and not upset about anything. Although I will say he has his moments where he is full of attitude -- usually when he has been told no -- no one in my family seems to be able to deal with that very well. :lmao:

I think they would too. Evan is so used to the word no he just ignore is. :rotfl:

Speaking of Silly Bandz, Connor came home from school the other day all excited. He traded for a fairy tale castle silly bandz which looks somewhat like Cinderella's Castle and said, "Look, Mom, your very own castle! It's even in the Year of a Million Dreams colors!" It was so sweet of him! :goodvibes

ok see, that's exactly what I mean! Evan came in last night to so me a silly bandz he'd traded for....

"Look mom! It's Porky Pig!"

:rotfl:

getting me a castle would not have been on his radar.

That sounds like a perfect birthday! Eric was eying that Lego Harry Potter game with his birthday money.

I love the Taco mountain!

I can't wait to watch the fortune teller video when I get home. Darn work blocking videos! :rotfl2:

Looks like it was a fabulous birthday weekend. I'm hiring you to throw me a birthday party next year. :rotfl2:

What a fantastic birthday!!

I LOVE those TS Lego sets... More than once, I have seriously considered buying those for myself. :) I love Legos!

It looks like Connor had a great birthday weekend. My Conor turned 8 the weekend before. They grow up too fast.

What an AWESOME birthday celebration Connor had! I can't help but thinking that all too soon, this will be my house, you know? We love us some Star Wars, that's for sure! Glad to see that he had a great time, and hard to believe another year has passed.

I got a chuckle out of Connor reading Chelsea's fortune...he was so darn serious! Maybe he has "the gift" :hippie:

I enjoyed seeing all the pictures again along with the adventures of the weekend! What a fun and LOUD time with all those boys in your house! Ah, the things I have to look forward to.

Looks like Connor had a great birthday weekend! Love the fortune telling! :goodvibes

He did have a lot of fun! That fortune telling cracks me up!

Hi, Kelli!!! Welcome back to the DIS! A frozen chai and peace and quiet was so much better to me than holding on for dear life. LOL!

Sounds like it was a great birthday weekend for Connor. I love the lightsaber pretzels. Too cute.

Thanks! I am already thinking I will need to make some Halloween pretzel rods. I already have orange-colored candy melts and lots of sprinkles.

I think they would too. Evan is so used to the word no he just ignore is. :rotfl:

:rotfl:

I didn't even know they had Looney Tunes silly bandz now.

That sounds like a perfect birthday! Eric was eying that Lego Harry Potter game with his birthday money.

Connor has really enjoyed it -- he likes all those Lego video games. When I went in to buy it, the guy at the game store said he even liked playing it sometimes.

I love the Taco mountain!

They really are just glorified nachos -- I think Connor is just in love with the name and the connotation that it is a towering mound of food.

I can't wait to watch the fortune teller video when I get home. Darn work blocking videos! :rotfl2:

It's pretty amusing. It gives you an idea of Connor getting into his "roles."

Looks like it was a fabulous birthday weekend. I'm hiring you to throw me a birthday party next year. :rotfl2:

Okay! :thumbsup2 I think I would love being a party planner. :goodvibes

Oh my goodness, Jackie!! That video of Connor's fortune telling had me :rotfl2:

"As it is written, let it be told." That kid is something else!! :lmao:
