Where Pixie-Dusted Birthday Dreams Come True! A July Trip Report! PTR Link! Pg. 116

What a fantastic birthday!!

I LOVE those TS Lego sets... More than once, I have seriously considered buying those for myself. :) I love Legos!

Connor did do pretty well for himself in the b-day celebrating area this year.

We love the Toy Story Legos -- besides this newest one, he has the green army soldiers and the RC sets. So cute! I wish Disney would do more Lego sets -- like Cinderella's Castle. I would be all about that!

Happy Belated Birthday to Connor! Sounds like he had a GREAT one! :goodvibes

Thank you! Yes, he did have a fun b-day!

It looks like Connor had a great birthday weekend. My Conor turned 8 the weekend before. They grow up too fast.

Happy Belated Birthday to your Conor!

What an AWESOME birthday celebration Connor had! I can't help but thinking that all too soon, this will be my house, you know? We love us some Star Wars, that's for sure! Glad to see that he had a great time, and hard to believe another year has passed.

It is hard to believe another year has passed -- when I first started posting on the DIS, he was only eight!

Yes, you have lots of fun boy-themed parties in your future!!! (And I didn't even have to borrow Connor's fortune telling cards for that prediction! :rotfl2:)

I got a chuckle out of Connor reading Chelsea's fortune...he was so darn serious! Maybe he has "the gift" :hippie:

You can see just what a ham he truly is! :lmao:

I enjoyed seeing all the pictures again along with the adventures of the weekend! What a fun and LOUD time with all those boys in your house! Ah, the things I have to look forward to.

Yes, you will have so much fun with Henry's parties as he is growing up!

What a fun birthday weekend. I have nephews that are about Connor's age and I wrote down every gift as an idea for birthday and Christmas presents. Since my boys are so young I never have any CLUE what to get them.

Wow, that birthday party looks like any 11 year old boy's dream! Also, those light saber pretzel rods were such a cool idea...did you think of that yourself? What cool parents to throw him such an awesome birthday party :thumbsup2

Connor's birthday celebration sounds awesome! What a fun time. I saw some of your pics on FB, but I liked hearing all the details!

What an awesome birthday celebration you threw for Connor! It looked so fun. All the cake looked yummy :)

Aw how sweet of Connor to give you your very own castle:)

Looks like Connor had a great birthday weekend with lots of great looking treats!! Every thing looks delicious!

Connor is probably in bed by now but I need him to do something before next Saturday. I need him to predict for me the winning lottery numbers. Do you think he's up to the task? I would really love to have unlimited trips to Disney!

Connor was cracking us up with his fortune telling. He says he wants a turban to complete the look.
all you need is a long piece of fabric about 12" wide. You can search on you tube how to do it. Yes, of course I have a story on how I know that.:rotfl2:

We aren't planning a definite one yet, but there has certainly been talk around here. In fact, last night Charles asked when I was going to put down a deposit. :woohoo:

:eek::eek::eek: I think you did it. I really think you converted him.:worship::worship::worship:

Borrow away! Connor would say his favorite gifts are Legos and video games. LOL!

Thanks! I did think of those myself! I was very proud of them! :goodvibes

wonderful Birthday update...sounds like great fun to spread it all out! that's how I like mine too :goodvibes

Me too! Connor informed us on Monday he would like the celebrating to continue since it was his "Birth Week."

I thought so, too! I love wearing it! :goodvibes

Thanks! It was all pretty tasty!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I know there is one card in the pack (the seven of hearts) that says, "This is your lucky number." So, if I had to guess what Connor would tell you, I would say, "Play numbers with sevens." ;)

Checking in after aLOOOOONG and nerve wracking day of Stet inspectors !!!!:scared1::scared1:

Ugh! Poor Rosie! Is it all over now?

Yes, it's a boy.
A boy with no name.

Poor little baby no-name. How much longer does she have to decide on one?

:lmao: Okay, now I want to know the story!

:eek::eek::eek: I think you did it. I really think you converted him.:worship::worship::worship:

Can you believe it??? I about fell out of my seat. He even said, "You need to book so we can make our dining reservations at six months out." I guess you just don't mess around with Charles' Disney food. :rotfl:

Look! I finally made it back from the land of the lost!

:rotfl:

So I have to say I chicken out on EE too, I go ONCE a trip. ONCE. And then I always say WHY do I ride this!!! :scared1:

I thought Yak and Yeti was great, too, and it does look like we sat in the same dining area for our lunch, too! ;)

Yay for an extra spin on Kali!! :thumbsup2

WHAT A GREAT BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!! SO MUCH FUN! I LOVED seeing all of that! I was watching on Facebook, but the kids seem to be having so much fun, what a great theme for a party!

AND I love those TS legos, too! Well, DS5 really really loves them! Matt had to help build it, but the lego figures are tooo cute!

Hmmmmmmm WHERE have I seen that Lego Pyramid game before... :rolleyes1

Looks like a fab weekend of celebrations, and that is exactly how it should be! I am going to stay up to date now, I promise!!! :rotfl:

I was about ready to send out a search and rescue party!

So I have to say I chicken out on EE too, I go ONCE a trip. ONCE. And then I always say WHY do I ride this!!! :scared1:

At least you do it once per trip -- I have done it once in my lifetime! :rotfl:

I thought Yak and Yeti was great, too, and it does look like we sat in the same dining area for our lunch, too! ;)

It was a lovely spot to sit and people watch while we enjoyed our lunch.

Yay for an extra spin on Kali!! :thumbsup2

Always good on a hot day!

Thanks! The boys had a blast! I was so nervous beforehand because we have never had that many boys over at once, and I had visions of utter chaos. They were so well-behaved, though, considering.

AND I love those TS legos, too! Well, DS5 really really loves them! Matt had to help build it, but the lego figures are tooo cute!

They are so cute! Connor has had a lot of fun with it.

Hmmmmmmm WHERE have I seen that Lego Pyramid game before... :rolleyes1

Hmmm...I wonder...:rolleyes1;)

Have you played it yet? Connor is in love with it, but it is definitely a game of strategy and memory. There are these little crystals in secret temples that are constantly moved around the board -- you have to remember what color they are and where they are -- let's just say Connor's memory is far better than ours.

Looks like a fab weekend of celebrations, and that is exactly how it should be! I am going to stay up to date now, I promise!!! :rotfl:

It was a great weekend! I am looking forward to having nothing to do this weekend -- the first weekend all month where the calendar is empty -- well, except for haircuts Saturday morning.

July 20, 2010: Part Four

Charles opted to skip going back to Animal Kingdom with us that evening as he just couldn’t bear the thought of facing the heat again, so Chelsea, Connor, and I decided to take the bus back there around 4:00.

We headed to the Jamaica bus stop which seemed a little bit closer than the Aruba bus stop.

While we were waiting, I whipped out the camera.

This side of Chelsea comes out from time to time even at Disney.

186.jpg

Much better!

187.jpg

Another family waiting on a bus asked me to take a picture of all of them and then returned the favor.

Upon entering the Animal Kingdom we meandered slowly through the Oasis. We are normally rushing to something else, so it was nice to just stroll and examine all the animal displays. Chelsea was getting her picture groove on.

Parrots!

Ducks!

Lizard of some sort!

What in the world???

We emerged from the Oasis to be greeted by the towering beauty of the Tree of Life!

However, we were headed straight for Harambe!

This was the scene we were greeted with upon crossing the bridge!

I hoped this was the mass exodus after the parade that I have read about and tried not to let it daunt me.

We decided to slowly soak in the sights of our favorite spot in Animal Kingdom!

The Taste of Africa was starting with a live band and dancing in the streets.

Before we joined the party, though, we had a date with a certain safari.

Would we see some old friends on our two-week journey?

Jackie, I love that Connor is appreciative of you and your work. What a great weekend.

So, Charles will be on the Dis soon, huh? :lmao: 6 months planning...

Do I see the Boardwalk in your future? :rotfl2:

Deb

PS Riding it once in 2007 does count!!:wizard:

Looks like Connor's party was a huge success...great job on the planning! :thumbsup2

Ok...his fortune telling video had me cracking up! WOW does he get into his roles! :rotfl2:

HOLY CROWDS at AK!!! Hope it lightened up since the party was getting started!

YAY...The safari is always fun! :goodvibes

Another successful update!!! I can't wait to see more about your night at the Taste of Africa!!

LOL Chelsea's picture while waiting for the bus...loved it!! TOO cute!!! I just adore her and Connor together at Disney, simply adorable!!

OOOh Chelsea took some really cute animal pics!!

We headed to the Jamaica bus stop which seemed a little bit closer than the Aruba bus stop.

I now have the Beach Boys song from "Cocktails" in my head. ARRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhh....the look of teenage angst! I've seen that look a few times myself! LOL That was nice of the other family to take a picture of all 3 of you.

:scared1: at that crowd!!!

The Oasis looks very nice. I'm hoping to explore it some on Thanksgiving Day.
