Yeah, they're pretty bad. Even on a good day. With that very, ahem, meticulous grooming, they do...
Even when they are just "hanging out," they are their own Discovery Channel show.
I just realized today that although I have been reading and enjoying the journey, I have yet to actually post on here!!!

I think you have had such a lovely trip so far! Now, I have been meaning to ask you----how would you compare the time of the year that you ventured down this year in reference to when you usually go in June? Hotter? By alot???? More crowded??? BY ALOT????? Just wondering!!!
Thanks, Jen! It was hotter -- there was no denying it -- and definitely more crowded. There was no doubt we had to take an afternoon break every day because there is no way we could last in that heat.
Happy Friday!
Just a few questions to answer for you...
Book tickets for the monument online (you can do this through the NPS website I think) I will ask Matt.
You can do so much on the Mall, it will keep you very busy, and I say a museum a day, or two, depending how interested you all are with museums...
Thank you! I need to start a Happydog Says... folder for our DC trip!
Yes, yesterday was Rosh Hashanah... I have taken Monday off, and we have Tuesday as a day off for Elections. FOUR day weekend!

By hook or crook I will FINISH my TR!!!!
Oh, I am so jealous! I need a couple of extra days to finish getting things ready for Connor's party on Friday night.
Landscaping almost all finished. Planting a few more shrubs.... waiting for SOD to firm up a bit more, hard to mulch right now...
I bet it is just gorgeous!!!
Oh I love your "where would you eat" game!!!! We have great ADRs at our favorite restaurants for Nov... I can't wait! BUT, if we were to consider going in May, I would have to really think about it!!!!
Okay going to read your new post now!
I can't wait to get back to Disney just to try the new restaurants!
CUTE post! I love the "trek" too. So neat all of the detailed theming in there... Looks like you all had some fun with the wildlife!

The Kamodo Dragon always gives me goose bumps b/c I once saw a special where it shows them running (and how fast they actually move) and it totally freaks me out knowing they could actually "catch" something!!!!!
Ugh! I never knew they could run! Yikes! I would not want to see that!

Lazy and sunning on a rock is just fine with me!
Asia looks so empty in your pics!
Chelsea cracks me up with her "scared" pose.
There weren't many people on the trail that morning. As the day went on, it got more and more crowded. I have a couple of pictures that show that later in the day.
Yeah, Chelsea was not feeling the scared vibe that morning.
Fun trek! I loved how you made it dramatic
The tigers always seem to be sleeping! I guess it must be too hot for them.
Thanks! I didn't quite know what to write about the trail, but once I saw the pictures I realized we were all acting quite nervous. LOL!
Zach made the trek with DMIL back in 2007 while the rest of us rode EE... so he's the only one of us who have seen those lovely creatures! It's definitely on my list for 2011!
I have to say that I wouldn't mind if the bats were hiding away...
Chelsea & Connor crack me up... I love how they ham it up for the camera!
Yes, you must do the trail! Really neat to see all the animals, and it is all themed like temple ruins so that is cool, too. The bats are so fascinating to watch.
Chelsea and Connor love posing. I am trying to convince Connor to try out for the drama club they are starting at his school. I think it would be perfect for him.
I love that you took a picture of my cookware! Someday I WILL bring it home....
The Jungle Trek is so exotic! I love all the theming in that area!
EEEEEE! for EE! Did you ride or didn't you.....
I love that cookware, too! I think it would look great in my kitchen. LOL!
I posted on MeMom and Jill's thread, but figure that you will check in here...
Could you check at the
Disney Store for the "
3 peas in a pod" plush for me? I think they are like 8.99.
Thanks!
I wish we had been able to find some peas for you.
I thought I replied but....am not seeing it.

story of my life these days.
Well really, do you need to go further than that?
Oh that dragon freaks me out, he looks like he's just going to POUNCE! And bite off a foot or something.
Loving the "scared" pictures
I was never freaked out by the dragon until everyone told me horror stories on the DIS.
I love your Dinosaur picture!!!

I'm the same way, except I can't peel my eyes OFF him. I know it's coming, I get wide-eyed and scream with all my might staring directly at him.

Do you have a picture of that for us on this trip report?
Chelsea looks might frightened of those tigers. Good thing her brave brother has his Sprite sword.
I don't know what we would have done without Connor leading the way.
Anita - if they don't find the plushes you are looking for this weekend let me know, I can check and see if they have them at our store.
I hope you have better luck, Michelle!
