Where is your ironing board?

Candykisses......can I send you my ironing????

My ironing board is folded hanging from the ironing board rack that is located in one of my laundry rooms. When I iron I take it into the family room to do so. But I iron as little as possible, it is not my favorite thing to do.

:bounce::wave::bounce:

In our bedroom, my DH irons.. I don't.

He irons his own clothes, he says "I don't do it right"... He irons maybe 2-3x a week!

I don't own a board or Iron...I never iron anything...If I have to iron it, I don't buy it! :D

finished it off in Oak stain to match my oak kitchen.....it is out of the way and I dont' have to bother with it....well actually I hate to iron....I time things right...if I take it out of the dryer fast and hang them up.....heck...I don't iron......

Next door at my Mom's house. She loves to iron, believe it or not, so I gave her my board!!!:jester:

I have NEVER USED IT!!!
I have it dry cleaned if it is something I need to iron.
I tried ironing ONCE before I was married & the stuff looked worse than when I started!! My dry cleaner & I are on a first name basis now!

What is this thing you speak of, "Ironing board"........ ;)

I have a mini ironing board that I have used maybe 6 times. It is stored in the laundry room but my idea of ironing is throwing it in the dryer.

Mine is a small one that folds out of the wall in the laundry room. It's much easier to put it away than a traditional ironing board and it looks nicer when it's folded up (just a wooden cabinet door).

I leave mine opened in the computer room in the basement. I enjoy ironing so I iron lots of shirts and shorts for dh for work ( I always tell him he looks so good for work ) so he has a choice to pick from and for myself. The kids I only do for school or for dressy clothes. I love the look of freshly, pressed clothes!!:D

Folded up in the laundry room. I usually wash all the clothes on one day and iron everything at once in the hall. It's sunnier than the laundry room. I try to buy stuff that doesn't have to be ironed, but DH likes to wear fitted shirts to work. I buy wrinkle-free when possible, but my drier doesn't have a buzzer, so they wrinkle anyway.

Mine is in the basement where the laundry machines are. It’s my mother’s old board and is very sturdy. It’s set up all the time, but I don’t use it that much for ironing. Instead, I set things on it a lot.

I ironed a silk shirt a week or so ago and forgot to turn the iron off! My brother discovered it when he was visiting this week. I’m amazed that it didn’t start a fire. Maybe I should consider getting a new one with auto shut off.

Diane, I love mine that has auto shut off. I once left for work and left mine on all day. I went out the next weekend to buy the one I have now. It's great.

Thanks for the info MerryPoppins. I just saw one on sale in a store flyer for about $20. I'll have to look it up and go get one this week.

My ironing board is folded up in my closet when not in use. I used to keep it up all the time but my dh used it as a shelf and I got sick of having to clean it off whenever I needed to use it :)

I actually like to iron - I find it to be a therapeutic activity. I don't put my clothing in the dryer (only socks, undies, sheets and towels are allowed in the dryer!) so without ironing, we'd all look a mess. I generally do my laundry on Monday and do my ironing on Tuesday. I try to watch a movie while I am ironing and it is kind of a nice break in my day.

I purchased a nice Rowenta iron (with auto-shutoff) a few years ago and I must say it has made ironing so much easier than before. I didn't think a better quality iron would matter that much but I was pleasantly surprised that it does!!

Ours is in the "sitting room" that's attached to my parents bedroom

Mine is currently in the closet in the study. We have male intern living with us, and he needs it on occasion. Usually it's in my walk-in closet in my bedroom. I just iron as I wear, which is every day, usually. I try to keep Stephen's shirts ironed, because he'll wear it regardless and I hate to see him walking around all wrinkled. There was a time in my life that I did all the ironing at once. Back when I was a SAHM. I'd do laundry one day and ironing the next. Now that I work full-time, outside the home, those kind of things went out the window. I don't mop my wood floors on my hands and knees, I don't clean my bathrooms twice a week, I don't wash my windows twice a year, and I don't do my ironing all in one day. I miss it, I really like to iron. It was a treat, a Dr. Pepper and an afternoon of soaps, two things I rarely took time for.

The ironing board is next door at my parents house. I have no idea how to iron and my mother says it is fun for her. I can't sew either:o

Right now it is in the kitchen, because I have been ironing DH's dress shirts. He recently got a job promotion(good:D ) so he has to wear a shirt and tie every day now (bad:( )which means I have to iron once a week. I prefer my iron to be in the utility closet, where all good laundry accessories belong!;)

I have mine in a spare bedroom upstairs... But I hardly visit it. LOL.
