Someone posted this on the commentary on the rental home we booked at Emerald Isle, but I don't know the entrance they are talking about? What West GAte do they mean?

The villa is beautiful and so handy for Disney especially using the new road to Disney's West Gate

That probably refers to the Western Way entrance road that runs from State Road 429 to Buena Vista Drive near Coronado Springs resort.

I believe that Emerald Isle is near where Highway 192 intersects with SR 429 in Kissimmee, so that entrance or the Sherberth Road entrance (which comes out near Animal Kingdom Lodge and the AK theme park) should be convenient for you.

You can take Sherberth Rd and go into Disney near Animal Kingdom or you can take the 429 toll road ($1. toll) and take the first exit into Disney. This one is called the Western Way and it comes into Disney near Coronado Springs.
You can check them out on the map:

From Emerald Island (#15) you turn right onto Funie Steed Rd and either follow the blue line or green line that connects to the red line (Sherberth Rd) and go into Disney that way.
Or you could take the 429 ramp near Placemarker #20 (Orange Lake Publix) and then the Western Way exit for Disney.
I think the Sherberth Rd way would be quicker, using the blue line then red line on the map. We've done that many times. :thumbsup2
