Where is the structure? Where are the employees?

We just returned from 2 days at Universal and we are very disappointed. There were kids walking around in diapers, men walking around without shirts and everyone walking around without shoes! No employees anywhere around.

There was this kid spitting into the fixing bar at the burger joint in Jurassic Park area and no one was watching him. I went up to the counter and said something to the girl and she said ok they will take care of it, ten minutes later no one did a darn thing.

This place is just not for us I guess, we are used to the way WDW does things

Obviously you haven't read the shocking things at Disney thread as many people have commented on diapers, shirtless men, barefeet, women wearing bikini tops, 10 year olds playing in the fountains wearing just underwear, and people changing into their swimsuits at Blizzard Beach out in the open. Yes, it happens even at Disney especially on days that have been as hot as the last few weeks have been. There are inconsiderate/immodest people everywhere and the hot weather and large crowds seems to bring out more of them.

No employees anywhere around.

How did they run the park with no employees? ;) Luckily no one is allowed on a ride without both shirts and shoes on. The only barefoot people I have seen are the kids playing in the water from the fire hydrants or the kids playing in the water play areas.

I hope you stopped by Guest Services to let them know of this. They would have called the food manager for the parks and addressed this. I've been eating at Universal and IoA almost weekly for 3 years and have never witnessed anyone spitting in the food but if I did I would have asked to speak to a manager either while I was there or at Guest Services.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your visit but any and all of these things can and do happen at WDW.

Yeah, at least they taser people at WDW, or beat people down waiting for the line in Dumbo.

Edit: BTW, I love Disney, but to say that things are only bad at Universal is quite inaccurate

Need I remind anyone of the Mayonaisse incident at the Frontier land resturaunt some 15 years ago? Think it was Pecos Bill something or other. Things happen...sometimes you cant help it.

Odd, sorry you had such an unpleasant visit.

We were @ Disney World for 6 days, then U for 4; all days were @ least mid-90's, many over 100 degrees.

Not once did i see anyone in either park w/o a shirt or shoes.:confused3

At both parks many women were wandering around with their shirts off, exposing rather skimpy string bikini tops (some easy on the eyes, others not;) )...assume it's a FL thing; local custom?

Must say I haven't experienced any unattended child (think non parental unit in sight for 10 minutes) @ either park. WDW whisks them off & holds them in a secure location for the parents to collect. Assume U follows suit.

Perhaps since my DS is a police officer, i look for it - did notice that Disney had many more uniformed police & security as compared to last Oct. Would think both parks have numerous 'plain-clothes' officers too. Not only do they want to keep the guests safe but; protect the company from potential liability too.

Pet peeve is children (and even adults:confused: ) @ buffets (both @ WDW & in RL) sticking their grubby hands into the food containers or, even worse; take a bite of something & put it back....yeeeeeeeech!

You can find idiots anywhere, the good folk are there too - just hiding in plain sight.:thumbsup2

I wish. :)

I always assumed it was people on vacation. ;)

Oh sure....blame it on the cash cows; we come in peace.

My money's on the much-maligned Brazilians:rolleyes1

psst...you just know they carry those flags to draw attention to themselves.;)

jk - just seems everytime something goes wrong, they get the blame

If I had seen a kid spitting on something he would have been wearing it in 2 seconds flat.

As for the topless thing, if I took mine off you probably wouldn't even notice LOL
yup, it's sad

I don't know about Scottish water but if you drink Scotch, everyone looks good after midnight. ;)
