Where is the search function

Can the webmaster please respond with an answer to where the search function is and when it will be back. It has been down for weeks and I am spending hours trying to find posts that would normally take me seconds. Can I suggest that a regular posting from the webmaster with updates to how the repairs to the message board are going would be greatly appreciated by many poeple.
