DH and I are not big drinkers, but we sure appreciate a good Bloody Mary on occasion :thumbsup2

Obviously, lots might change before our Dec 2010 trip and we realize that many of the drink menus are being standardized, but where can we find a good Bloody Mary? We don't recall from our previous trip.

Off the top of my head, ESPN is probably a good bet.

Note: We are in Northern MN where a 'good' Bloody Mary includes a virtual meal: celery, pickle, olives, shrimp, an occasional meat stick. It's also the norm to receive a snit of beer with it. Apparently, this is strange to other people?

TIA!

Never seen one with shrimp or meat. I think that's too expensive a garnish for WDW for some reason.

I am into that spicy stuff so my favorites have been the wasabi Bloody Mary served at the Polynesian and the cajun one served at PO Riverside.

The one at the Territory Lounge was just weird, it tasted SWEET. Ugh. I believe that is the Ultimate Bloody Mary or something that they put in the standardized menus. If it says there is cucumber puree in it, I will walk away from it. I think that's what did it.

Another vote for the Wasabi Bloody Mary which I enjoyed at Kona. It's also the only one I've had at WDW but it had a nice kick.

I've never seen Bloody Mary's served with beer and all those other things either. Celery and lime and occasionally a hot pepper. Sounds like a fun regional specialty up there.:thumbsup2

Thank you very much! The Wasabi Bloody Mary sounds right up our alley. I think Kona was on our list, so it'll be perfect :)

Hello neighbor!! Hope you haven't had the recent tornado activity......we have but I'm used to it having grown up down in a city where the school mascot is a tornado. LOL

Bloody Mary conversation......ahhhhhhh yes I can get into this one. Our last trip was consumed with finding THE best bloody mary on Disney property. I found several excellent versions, but sadly none of them with the little extra bit of beer we're both familiar with. Maybe it's a northern Minnesota thing? :confused3

The bartender at the Belleview Lounge at the Boardwalk makes a mean bloody mary....by my second day there he usually automatically starts making one before I even sit down. LOL

The Brown Derby also has a great bloody mary...I THINK it had horseradish in it. Yum!!

Fulton's Crabhouse killed me with their bloody mary with a skewer of shrimp! SO GOOD!

Lastly, the bar in Animal Kingdom over by the Tusker house served a very good bloody mary.......actually a delight to sip on during the parade!!

I plan to test out a few more locations on our next trip in early 2008 and I promise to report back with my findings. :3dglasses

definately the Kona cafe

Blizzard's Pub at Shawnee Peak Ski Resort in Maine had the best Bloody Mary ever with all the fixings, pepper, shrimp etc. Never even seen one like that before!

I know the one at Fulton's is served w/shrimp
May sound weird, and it possibly may not be accurate anymore (since the drink menu standardization debacle) but the pool bar at All Star Sports had a fantastic bloody mary which they did top with beer
I always start our football Sundays at the ESPN Club with a bloody mary or 2, and they are always good, although I always add extra worcershire sauce!

At the Yaghtsman Steakhouse bar they have a regular one and also a special with a pickle. I enjoyed the regular it had just the right spice to it, can't say I loved the pickle one.

Had a decent one at Tune In and DHS.

Kona was good...went great along with a shrimp omelette.

Hi neighbor! Nope, we are clear of the tornadoes! Whew. Thanks for all of the great info! We'll be making a list, and we'll be sure to update it if you get new info!

Another vote for Kona, eh? Good to know. Mmmmm, that one sounds good!! I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever skiing in Maine!

Yes, Worchestershire sauce is a must! Thank you :)

The Yatchman Steakhouse...is that at Beach Club? Interesting that they have two. THanks!

Yachtsmans Steakhouse is at the Yacht Club.

Tune In - the Tune In Lounge at 50's Prime Time Cafe.

DHS is apparently not the Department of Homeland Security, but Disney's Hollywood Studios.

A Bloody Mary served with Clamato Juice is by far the B E S T!!!!:thumbsup2 No spices for me, but I will take a celery stick!:thumbsup2 :drinking1
